Job Description: Drive data intelligence narrative and shape market perception at Alation. As our Analyst Relations Program Manager, you will lead the execution and optimization of Alation’s analyst engagement strategy with Gartner, Forrester and other major firms. In this role, you’ll surface competitive insights, orchestrate cross-functional excellence, and ensure Alation’s leadership is reflected in every interaction with the analyst community. Your work directly influences how the world’s most respected analysts understand Alation’s value and vision. Core Responsibilities Analyst Insights & Market Intelligence Lead deep-dive analysis of analyst research, evaluation frameworks, and industry reports, with a focus on AI, data governance, and metadata management. Proactively identify, monitor, and summarize emerging trends, competitive shifts, and analyst narrative changes relevant to data intelligence and AI readiness. Create structured briefings and dashboards for internal stakeholders to inform strategy, messaging, and product positioning. Maintain a central repository for trend intelligence and research, ensuring timely access for decision-makers. Program & Project Leadership Own the project lifecycle for major analyst relations cycles (e.g., Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave), driving clarity, accountability, and on-time execution across global teams. Develop, manage, and optimize detailed project plans—tracking milestones, dependencies, and deliverables with rigor. Ensure every analyst interaction—briefings, demos, inquiries—is flawlessly prepared, aligning messaging with Alation’s strategic objectives and standards of excellence. Deliverable Quality & Stakeholder Coordination Oversee end-to-end preparation of analyst deliverables and RFIs, enforcing accuracy, completeness, and message consistency. Consolidate and refine inputs from Product, Marketing, and subject matter experts, upholding professional standards and enterprise polish. Implement quality control processes and version management to reduce friction and ensure readiness across all research cycles. Metrics, Reporting & Process Improvement Track and analyze key metrics: engagement cadence, submission timelines, analyst sentiment, and participation rates. Develop actionable reporting to measure program effectiveness and support leadership decision-making. Lead the design and implementation of an AI-powered analyst relations engine to streamline workflows, automate material development (briefing decks, MQ/Wave submissions, data validation, win stories), accelerate content generation, and scale program operations with greater speed and precision. Standardize and improve workflows, documentation, and collaboration practices to drive scalability and increase operational excellence. What You Bring 5–8 years’ experience in program management, analyst relations, research operations, or competitive intelligence—preferably in B2B technology, data, or AI-driven markets. Demonstrated track record delivering complex, deadline-driven initiatives with cross-functional, global teams. Advanced analytical skills—proven ability to synthesize industry trends and analyst insights into strategic recommendations. Expertise with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet) and modern workflow optimization. Meticulous attention to detail and high bar for quality and accuracy. Clear, concise, and influential written and verbal communication in English. Experience supporting or leading analyst engagement processes (Gartner Magic Quadrant, Forrester Wave, IDC MarketScape) is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Genuine drive to raise the bar, act with urgency, and win through results—always operating as an accountable owner and team player.
