The Experience team shapes the core Spotify app used by hundreds of millions of listeners worldwide. Within Core Experience, the Format Foundations team builds and evolves the foundational surfaces that help users explore, understand, and connect with creators and their content — from artists and albums to shows, episodes, authors, books, and more.
We’re looking for a thoughtful, craft-driven Senior Product Designer to join Format Foundations and help shape the heart of Spotify’s mobile experience. These are some of the most highly trafficked and emotionally resonant surfaces in the Spotify app. Our mission is to guide users from initial curiosity to deeper connection and fandom by turning complex content ecosystems into intuitive, inspiring mobile experiences.

What You'll Do- Design and evolve foundational mobile experiences across Spotify’s core content formats, shaping how millions of users discover and connect with creators
- Simplify complex catalogs into intuitive, engaging, and scalable user journeys
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Design peers to define strategy and deliver high-quality execution
- Translate brand-led creative direction into cohesive, system-driven product experiences
- Ensure alignment with Encore consumer mobile guidelines and native iOS and Android platform constraints
- Raise the bar on craft, interaction quality, motion, and scalable design patterns
- Contribute to long-term product strategy while delivering pixel-perfect, high-impact design work
- Embed on high-priority initiatives and company bets, including contributing to the 2026 Wrapped listening experience, exploring new ways to make data stories more social, interactive, and immersive
Who You Are- You have 5+ years of experience designing digital consumer products, with deep expertise in native mobile platforms
- You have a strong visual design foundation and exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship
- You know how to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to complex systems
- You have experience building scalable systems and patterns across large, content-rich ecosystems
- You are experienced partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Research to deliver high-impact outcomes
- You have translated brand or creative direction into cohesive, scalable product experiences
- You are comfortable prototyping and exploring ideas using modern AI-enabled tools
- You care deeply about interaction quality, accessibility, and inclusive design
Where You'll Be- This role is based in New York, NY.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.

The United States base range for this position is $147 595 - $210 850, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
