Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Digital subscription platforms sit at the intersection of content, payments, data governance, and competition policy, making government affairs a core operational function rather than a peripheral one. This role stands out because it focuses on Türkiye while also contributing across the MENAP region, reflecting how SaaS and platform businesses manage policy as a multi-market discipline. Being based in Istanbul with a reporting line into Dubai also signals a regional operating model typical of global SaaS firms.
For a SaaS career, the value is in learning how regulation translates into product and commercial constraints, then turning that into internal guidance and external advocacy. The remit touches themes that repeatedly shape SaaS outcomes, including privacy, taxation, platform accountability, and licensing, and it requires coordination with Legal, Product, Trust and Safety, and Communications. That cross-functional exposure tends to build durable skills in stakeholder mapping, risk anticipation, and translating policy detail into business decisions.
This position is best suited to professionals who prefer influence through relationships and evidence-based persuasion, and who can move between strategic planning and detailed issue work. It will fit someone comfortable representing a digital platform to regulators, maintaining consistency with global positions, and collaborating across cultures and time zones without relying on formal authority.
