Role Overview:
Drive the design and delivery of scalable, cloud-native data and application solutions that directly enhance customer experience outcomes across global enterprises. This role influences how data pipelines, APIs, and intelligent models power real-time decisioning and operational efficiency for customer-facing platforms. At Genesys, we are redefining how organizations connect with their customers through AI-driven experiences, and this role plays a key part in delivering that impact at scale. You will operate at the intersection of data engineering, application development, and cloud architecture, partnering with global stakeholders to solve complex business challenges. This position offers strong visibility into enterprise implementations, with opportunities to expand into advanced cloud, AI, and platform engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Own end-to-end development and optimization of data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across cloud environments
· Design and build serverless and cloud-native applications on AWS that support real-time data processing and customer experience platforms
· Drive integration of REST APIs and microservices to enable seamless communication between distributed systems
· Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-impact technical solutions that improve customer outcomes
· Develop and enhance data models and analytical solutions that support reporting, forecasting, and decision-making
· Collaborate with Professional Services and Engineering teams to deliver customer-specific implementations and influence product improvements
· Lead troubleshooting and resolution of production issues, ensuring minimal disruption and continuous service improvement
· Enable knowledge transfer and best practices adoption across internal teams and customer organizations
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
· 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or application development
· Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native application development
· Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java / Node.js and Python
· Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and distributed systems
· Proven ability to independently deliver projects and manage multiple priorities
· Strong analytical mindset with experience in data modeling, ETL or ELT processes
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
· Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, and EventBridge
· Willing to work in EMEA shift (till 10 PM IST)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation
· Hands-on experience in serverless application development
· Experience with data engineering frameworks and large-scale data processing
· Exposure to contact center platforms such as Genesys Cloud, Genesys Engage, Cisco, or Avaya
· Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
· Familiarity with ELK stack and SQL-based data systems
