Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Developer platforms have become a defining layer in modern SaaS, because they determine how quickly external teams can adopt, integrate, and build on top of a product. This Senior Product Manager role sits squarely in that platform category, focusing on the interfaces and connectivity that shape how developers interact with a data cloud. In a market where ecosystems and integrations often drive product stickiness, ownership of the “programmatic surface area” is strategically relevant.
For a SaaS product leader, this kind of portfolio builds durable platform skills: setting standards for APIs and SDKs, making lifecycle calls around versioning and deprecation, and using operational signals like latency, errors, and adoption to steer priorities. The remit also touches partner and open source collaboration, which is increasingly central to SaaS distribution and developer-led growth. Experience here tends to transfer well across infrastructure, data, and developer tooling companies.
This role is best suited to a product manager who prefers complex, technical problem spaces over feature-by-feature delivery, and who is comfortable aligning engineering and external stakeholders around clear contracts and quality bars. It will appeal to someone who enjoys turning ambiguous platform needs into multi-quarter roadmaps and measuring success through reliability and developer experience outcomes.

Job Description
Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.
Snowflake is the Data Cloud, a global network where thousands of organizations mobilize data with near-unlimited scale, concurrency, and performance.
Inside Snowflake, the Developer Platform team is on a mission to win the hearts and minds of developers by making it seamless and intuitive to build with data. Our vision is to empower data engineers and app developers by delivering an exceptional, developer-first experience built on a foundation of simplicity, familiarity, and ease of use.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take autonomous ownership of a core portfolio within the Developer Platform. You will manage the foundational interfaces and connectivity tools that developers rely on to interact with Snowflake. Unlike a typical feature-focused role, this position requires you to own a broader portfolio of products that determine how external applications connect to, automate, and build upon the Data Cloud.
Working closely with engineering leadership, you will define the strategy for our programmatic surface area. Your goal is to ensure that as Snowflake’s capabilities grow, our developer ecosystem scales with it, prioritizing reliability, modern standards, and a friction-free developer lifecycle.
As a Senior Product Manager on the Developer Platform, You Will:
Manage a Strategic Portfolio: Oversee the strategy and execution for a diverse set of developer-facing capabilities, ranging from programmatic interfaces (APIs/SDKs) to ecosystem integrations.
Define the "Contract" with Developers: Own the standards and quality of how external tools interact with Snowflake, ensuring a consistent and reliable experience across our entire surface area.
Scale the Ecosystem: Partner with external technology partners and open-source communities to ensure their tools integrate seamlessly with Snowflake, driving consumption and developer satisfaction.
Drive Technical Strategy: Collaborate with engineering to make high-stakes decisions about architecture, protocol standards, and long-term lifecycle management (e.g., versioning, deprecation, and security).
Remove Ambiguity: Take broad, complex problem spaces, such as "improving the automation lifecycle" or "modernizing connectivity", and decompose them into actionable, multi-quarter roadmaps.
Analyze & Optimize: Use data to measure the health of your portfolio, tracking metrics like API latency, error rates, and adoption trends to prioritize your backlog effectively.
Our Ideal Product Manager Will Have:
5+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record of shipping developer-facing tools, APIs, or technical infrastructure products.
Experience Managing Portfolios: A track record of handling multiple competing priorities or products simultaneously, rather than just a single feature set.
Technical Proficiency: Comfort discussing technical concepts such as API design (REST/SQL), Infrastructure-as-Code patterns, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Ecosystem Understanding: You understand that a platform’s success depends on how well it integrates with the broader toolchain (e.g., BI tools, Orchestrators, CI/CD systems).
Strong Execution: You can navigate dependencies across a large organization, unblocking your team and ensuring consistent delivery without constant oversight.
Customer Empathy: A passion for reducing friction and building tools that developers genuinely love to use.
Communication Skills: Clear and consistent communication skills, with the ability to keep stakeholders updated, influence engineering decisions, and present roadmap clarity to leadership.
Bonus Points For:
A technical degree (CS or Engineering) or equivalent software engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or Terraform.
Why Join our Developer Platform Team at Snowflake:
Strategic Scope: You will own a portfolio that underpins the entire Snowflake ecosystem. Your work directly impacts how millions of queries and pipelines are executed daily.
Autonomy: This is a role for a self-starter. You will have the space to define the vision for your area and the support to execute it.
Impact: You will solve fundamental challenges for our most sophisticated customers, helping them treat Snowflake as a core part of their modern data stack.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
