Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Technical Product Delivery Strategist role sits at a common pressure point in B2B SaaS: turning a platform’s APIs and internal systems into customer-specific outcomes that unblock adoption. Tabs operates in an AI-native finance automation category where integrations, data flows, and edge cases often determine time-to-value. The remit reads like forward-deployed product delivery, positioned between product, engineering, and customer operations rather than a purely internal PM track.
For a SaaS career, the durable value here is learning how implementation work feeds back into product decisions. Owning projects from scoping to launch builds judgment around tradeoffs, reliability, and stakeholder alignment, especially when requirements are incomplete. The mix of Python and React with investigative work in customer environments is the kind of breadth that transfers across SaaS companies that sell workflow automation, data products, or API-first platforms.
This role will suit professionals who like being close to real users and are comfortable navigating ambiguity without waiting for perfect specs. It is a strong match for someone who enjoys hands-on building and debugging while also communicating timelines and risk clearly across functions. Candidates drawn to hybrid delivery roles that combine technical execution with product thinking should find the scope aligned.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
Tabs is the leading AI-native revenue platform for modern finance and accounting teams. Tabs agents automates the entire contract-to-cash lifecycle, including billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting, to help teams eliminate manual work and accelerate cash flow.
High-growth companies like Cursor and Statsig rely on Tabs to generate invoices directly from contracts, reconcile payments in real time, and automate ASC 606 compliance.
Founded in 2023, Tabs has raised over $91 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and Primary. The team is headquartered in New York and brings deep expertise in finance and AI.
Responsibilities:
Own delivery of customer projects end-to-end (scoping → launch), across a range of sizes and urgency
Act as a mini-PM: clarify requirements, define scope, and drive execution across stakeholders
Build customer-specific solutions in Python & React, using Tabs’ APIs and internal systems to deliver custom workflows
Develop creative solutions by combining Tabs’ APIs with flexible workflows and lightweight tooling
Operate in an FDE-style capacity when needed, including investigating customer environments/tools and resolving customer-impacting issues cross-functionally
Unblock yourself through independent discovery and communicate clearly on priorities, timelines, risks, and customer impact
Who You Are:
A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can move forward without perfect requirements or detailed specs
Resourceful and pragmatic - you gather context quickly, make reasonable assumptions, and unblock progress
A creative problem solver who balances speed and quality when delivering customer-facing solutions
Technical and systems-minded, with strong instincts for how components interact and where edge cases live
Product-oriented and impact-driven - you care about shipping outcomes that work for real users and customers
Requirements:
2+ years of experience and strong working knowledge of Python, with experience using it to build and support production workflows and internal tools
Strong systems thinking, including the ability to reason about data flows, integrations, edge cases, and failure modes
Comfort working across APIs, data, and operational tooling to deliver reliable customer-facing functionality
Ability to scope and drive delivery end-to-end: clarify requirements, define technical approach, and execute in ambiguity
Strong cross-functional communicator with experience working in client-facing contexts
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with SQL (or confidence picking it up quickly)
Familiarity with Github and software development approach
Experience debugging production issues or working in live customer environments
Prior customer-facing technical experience (solutions, implementation, support, etc.)
Exposure to Field / Forward-Deployed (FDE) style work and customer-stack investigation
Advanced spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets / Excel) and/or familiarity with finance, accounting, or B2B operations workflows
Perks and Benefits (Full-time Employees)
