Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Frontend Engineer, Growth role sits squarely in a modern product led SaaS motion where engineering is directly tied to measurable commercial outcomes. The remit spans onboarding, self serve conversion paths, pricing surfaces, and viral sharing mechanics, indicating a company investing in repeatable acquisition and monetisation loops rather than one off feature delivery. The emphasis on building experimentation infrastructure also signals a relatively mature approach to how product decisions get validated in production.
For a SaaS career, the standout value is experience operating at the intersection of product, data, and engineering where impact is expressed in activation, conversion, and revenue metrics. Owning work from hypothesis through instrumentation to iteration builds durable skills in experiment design, analytics literacy, and funnel thinking that transfer across PLG and hybrid enterprise SaaS businesses. Exposure to A/B systems, metrics pipelines, and trade offs between velocity and scalability is particularly portable for future growth, platform, or product engineering tracks.
This role fits engineers who prefer autonomy, ambiguity, and accountability for outcomes, not just implementation. It will suit someone comfortable collaborating closely with product managers and analysts, and who enjoys using quantitative feedback to guide technical choices. It is also a strong match for professionals who want their frontend work to influence core business levers rather than peripheral UI polish.

Job Description
Synthesia is the world’s leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US.
As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.
Following our recent Series E funding round, where we raised $200 million, our valuation stands at $4 billion. Our total funding exceeds $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital, alongside the founders and operators of Stripe, Datadog, Miro, and Webflow.
About the role
Own and ship high-impact experiments and features end-to-end - from hypothesis to production - that directly move activation, conversion, and revenue metrics. You'll design for measurable outcomes, not just output, and iterate quickly based on data.
Work full-stack across the Growth surface: activation flows and onboarding, self-serve and freemium infrastructure, pricing and packaging mechanics, PQL-to-enterprise funnels, viral and sharing loops.
Build and extend the team's experimentation platform. At Synthesia, Engineers are builders of the experimentation system, not just users of it - constructing A/B infrastructure, instrumentation, and metrics pipelines that power how the whole product grows.
Partner closely with product managers and data analysts to prioritize the highest-leverage work, make clear trade-offs between experimentation velocity and long-term scalability, and translate ambiguous business problems into clean technical solutions. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy and be expected to define what gets built, not just how.
Team you would be joining – Growth
The Growth team is dedicated to driving high NDR and sustainable revenue growth through self-service and freemium offerings, improving user experience, and optimizing conversion pathways while aligning with enterprise goals.
This team operates at the intersection of product, engineering, and data, shipping experiments rapidly and iterating based on measurable outcomes. You'll work on core surfaces that directly impact user journeys and business performance, in a PLG environment where engineering decisions have a direct and visible line to revenue.
What we're looking for
Experience in activation, conversion, monetization, or PLG systems - not growth marketing or CMS/content engineering
Experience building or significantly extending experimentation infrastructure - A/B systems across cached and non-cached pages, metrics pipelines, experiment orchestration - at the builder bar, not just the user bar
A habit of quantifying your own impact: you default to metrics (conversion %, activation rate, ARR lift, INP/TTI) when describing what you shipped
Strong product sense and ownership mindset - comfortable owning the problem definition, trade-offs, and technical approach, not just the implementation tickets
Experience with viral mechanics, sharing loops, or team-expansion features is a strong plus
