Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Contracts Manager role stands out because it sits at the commercial core of an enterprise SaaS business selling complex agreements at scale. With a large and geographically distributed customer base already in place, the contracting function becomes a key part of how revenue is operationalised, risk is managed, and procurement friction is reduced. The remit also signals a platform-led approach to legal operations through ownership of templates, playbooks, and a contracts management system.
For a SaaS career, the long-term value is in building fluency across the standard deal surfaces of subscription software, including MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and related procurement terms. Experience tightening intake and approval workflows translates directly to other SaaS environments where sales velocity and compliance expectations rise together. The cross-functional interfaces with deal operations, go-to-market, and marketing mirror how SaaS companies increasingly treat legal as an operational partner rather than a back-office checkpoint.
This is best suited to a contracts professional who prefers structured execution, clear prioritisation, and stakeholder management across multiple internal teams. It will appeal to someone who enjoys improving systems and repeatable processes, and who is comfortable working with a mix of standardised paper and genuinely non-standard enterprise requests in a hybrid, office-based model.

At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today — and we’re just getting started.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our legal team.
You will interface with cross-functional teams including our procurement, go-to-market, deal operations and marketing teams to ensure fast and efficient execution of agreements.
You will also focus on the efficient operation of the commercial team (including its contracts management system) and Harvey’s legal department.
What You'll Do
Generative AI has the power to greatly change the world and directly impact how things get done. Harvey is at the forefront of this change, and our mission is to make generative AI actionable and useful for our customers. This is a fast moving environment (we are a start-up!) that is serving some of the world’s most renowned law firms and professional organizations. And this role will put you in the center of all of this.
More specifically, you will:
Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Marketing and Sponsorship Agreements, Staffing Agreements, and other Procurement Agreements
Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks, refine approval workflows and intake processes, and leverage Harvey to continuously improve and scale the legal team's contracting operations
Flag non-standard terms and issues affecting product, privacy, and regulatory compliance, escalate to legal counsel as needed, negotiate Data Processing Agreements, and ensure contracts comply with internal policies
Provide training and develop resources in support of our go-to-market and other cross-functional teams
We are a small, but growing company, and one of the best things about working in such an environment is that there is lots of opportunity to pick up other aspects of the legal work that supports our company. While the principal job will be as described above, there will be ample opportunities to broaden your wheelhouse here at Harvey!
This role is based in San Francisco, CA; New York, NY; Chicago, IL, or Dallas, TX. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week.
What You Have
Bachelors degree
4+ years of in-house experience, ideally supporting a SaaS or tech company
Hands-on experience with Procurement, Master Services Agreements, NDAs, SaaS, technology, and/or IP licensing commercial agreements
Experience with contracts management systems and related systems (such as or similar to Ironclad, Zip and Docusign)
Exceptional project management skills
AI experience welcomed but not required
Ability to think creatively, function independently and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
Team-focused and collaborative work style; willingness to build expertise and solve new challenges in an evolving practice
Hyper-responsive and service-oriented attitude, and a love for solving hard problems with a small tight-knit team
Compensation
$120,000-150,000 USD
