Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Sales Engineer role sits at a familiar SaaS inflection point where a technical product must be translated into repeatable customer outcomes. With Fastino building and commercialising language models via APIs, the position reflects a growing category of AI-native SaaS companies where solution design, credibility with engineering buyers, and proof of value during evaluation matter as much as classic sales execution.
For a SaaS career, the work offers durable exposure to the mechanics of technical adoption: discovery that connects business problems to product capabilities, evaluation design, and the path from demo to production. Owning the technical win across the cycle builds transferable skills in narrative building, architecture tradeoffs, and stakeholder alignment that apply across developer-focused SaaS, data infrastructure, and security-adjacent products. The emphasis on feedback loops into product also maps to how modern SaaS teams refine positioning and roadmap based on field learning.
The role best fits professionals who enjoy operating between commercial and engineering contexts and who are comfortable being accountable for clarity in ambiguous customer environments. It suits someone who prefers hands-on demos and prototyping alongside structured communication with senior stakeholders, and who values influencing internal teams through concrete patterns observed across deals.
