Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior QA Engineer role stands out in SaaS because it sits close to the reliability layer of a platform used for computationally intensive analytics, where distributed scheduling, concurrency, and low latency are central. In SaaS environments that serve enterprise workloads, quality work is inseparable from platform credibility, and testing strategy has to account for real operational behavior rather than isolated features. The focus on GridServer components and grid middleware points to a product area where performance and stability are primary product attributes.
From a SaaS career perspective, the remit offers durable experience in building test automation and regression discipline for complex systems, including release readiness across patches and upgrades. That kind of QA ownership translates well to other SaaS companies operating multi-tenant platforms, data infrastructure, or cloud services, where incident prevention and measurable quality gates matter. Exposure to containerized and cloud-native topologies also aligns with how modern SaaS delivery pipelines are evolving.
The role is best suited to a QA professional who prefers end-to-end accountability, enjoys diagnosing systemic issues, and can influence engineering practices through evidence and metrics. It fits someone comfortable working with distributed backends and collaborating across development and operations without needing heavy day-to-day direction.

Job Description
Our DataSynapse GridServer team designs, scales, and maintains the high-performance computing (HPC) grid platform that powers our enterprise’s most critical, computationally intensive analytics. We specialize in distributed resource management, massive parallel processing, and low-latency workload scheduling. As part of this team, you will ensure the rock-solid reliability, performance, and scalability of the grid middleware that underpins our entire high-throughput infrastructure.
Job Description / Responsibilities
Operational Impact:Own and execute the end-to-end QA strategy for DataSynapse GridServer components (Brokers, Engines, and Drivers), working to achieve rigorous operational testing targets with significant impact on overall platform stability.
Independent Execution:Work independently under limited supervision to design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks tailored for complex distributed systems.
Project Ownership:Take full responsibility for entire QA projects, release cycles, and test processes within the GridServer ecosystem, ensuring seamless deployment of patches, upgrades, and feature additions.
Process & System Improvement:Actively drive improvements in testing processes, automation pipelines, and regression suites to enhance the performance and efficiency of the QA team.
Complex Problem Solving:Analyze and troubleshoot difficult, multi-faceted issues inherent to grid computing, such as distributed race conditions, network latency bottlenecks, memory leaks, and workload scheduling failures.
Strategic Analysis:Solve intricate testing challenges by drawing from prior experience in high-performance computing (HPC) environments and deep analysis of systemic infrastructure behavior.
Cross-Functional Communication:Effectively communicate test results, defect analyses, and quality metrics with parties within and outside of the QA function, including close collaboration with core GridServer development engineers and DevOps teams.
External Collaboration:May represent the team and communicate technical issues externally with vendors (e.g., TIBCO support) or internal business clients (e.g., Quantitative Risk teams) regarding platform defects and environment setups.
Operational Influence:Work to influence developers, system administrators, and product owners at an operational level regarding engineering policies, QA best practices, and release readiness procedures.
Mentorship & Guidance:Provide hands-on guidance, coaching, and training to junior and mid-level QA engineers on the team to foster technical growth and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Project Management:Lead QA initiatives for major platform releases, delegating testing tasks across the team and thoroughly reviewing others' test plans and automation code scripts.
Required Experience / Skills
Professional Maturity:Experienced QA professional capable of working under limited supervision while tackling moderately complex software and infrastructure testing problems.
Leadership Capabilities:Demonstrated experience providing coaching, technical guidance, and peer training to other QA team members.
Advanced Domain Knowledge:Advanced knowledge of QA methodologies, automated test framework design, and distributed systems architecture. Practical knowledge of Agile project management and defect lifecycle tracking is highly valued.
Technical Core:Strong experience testing highly concurrent backend applications, multi-threaded systems, or middleware clustering technologies
Education & Experience Prerequisites: University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Optional Experience / Skills
Additional Programming/Scripting Languages:Strong proficiency in scripting and test automation usingPython,Bash,Java, orC#(GridServer supports multi-language engines; familiarity with these helps in writing comprehensive driver tests).
Cloud & Modern Topologies:Experience testing containerized grid workloads within cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) or container orchestration tools (Docker,Kubernetes).
Performance Testing Tools:Familiarity with performance, load, and stress testing tools (e.g., JMeter) applied to distributed network architectures.
