### Why this Role is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Compliance is often treated as a back office function, but in SaaS it increasingly shapes how companies scale procurement, partner ecosystems, and third party operations without adding friction. This role stands out for its explicit focus on building procurement and vendor compliance controls that can operate across a global footprint, with AI used as a practical layer for monitoring and exception handling rather than a standalone initiative.
For SaaS professionals, the career value here sits at the intersection of risk, data, and operational design. Experience implementing automated controls, AI assisted contract review, and continuous third party monitoring maps well to modern SaaS operating models where spend visibility and governance need to keep pace with distributed teams and rapid vendor adoption. The exposure to cross functional work with Procurement, Legal, and Finance also builds a transferable understanding of how SaaS companies manage risk through process and systems, not only policy.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
Compliance Specialist
Department: Compliance & Integrity
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Kazakhstan
Description
About the role
Join our team as a Compliance Specialist at inDrive. You will build and maintain a robust compliance framework across procurement and vendor management - leveraging AI-driven controls to detect risks early, automate routine checks, and ensure ethical, transparent business practices at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Compliance & AI-Powered Controls
- Design and enforce procurement compliance controls aligned with inDrive policies and applicable regulations.
- Implement and continuously improve AI-based controls: automated anomaly detection across vendor spend, contract terms, and approval workflows.
- Leverage AI tools to monitor third-party risk in real time — flagging concentration risks, unusual pricing patterns, and behavioural deviations.
Procurement Review & Contract Risk
- Review procurement requests and contracts for compliance issues, fraud red flags, and financial risks.
- Verify clarity of scope, approval controls, anti-fraud clauses, and vendor penalties.
- Apply AI-assisted contract analysis to surface non-standard terms and missing obligations at scale.
Vendor Due Diligence & KYC
- Conduct KYC and due diligence for vendor onboarding and renewals: financial stability, compliance history, reputational risk.
- Automate KYC workflows using AI screening tools (e.g. Dow Jones Risk & Compliance or equivalents) to reduce manual effort and improve coverage.
- Monitor ownership structures and affiliated relationships to identify conflicts of interest.
Spend Analysis & Data-Driven Insights
- Analyse procurement expenditures by cost centre, category, and project to assess economic rationale and budget adherence.
- Use AI/ML-based spend analytics to detect trends, inefficiencies, and anomalies that regular review would miss.
- Deliver actionable reports to senior management and support strategic sourcing decisions.
Vendor Monitoring, Auditing & Risk Registry
- Maintain an ongoing risk registry with third-party assessments, mitigation plans, and risk rating tracking.
- Conduct post-contract audits and performance reviews; escalate violations and coordinate remediation.
- Implement automated monitoring pipelines to continuously assess vendor behaviour against contract terms.
Reporting & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Track compliance and anti-fraud metrics; prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and etc. on risk mitigation and policy updates.
- Provide training on procurement compliance best practices and AI tool usage across teams.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Experience & Education
- 3+ years in compliance, third-party risk management, audit, or vendor anti-fraud in a global environment.
- Proven track record in handling compliance audits, fraud investigations, compliance and fraud risks assessment or procurement reviews in a global business environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Compliance, Risk management or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications in compliance or anti-fraud (e.g. ACAMS, ACFE) are a plus.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong data analysis skills; proficient in Excel and data tools; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with AI or automation tools applied to compliance, anti-fraud, or risk monitoring.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Dow Jones Risk & Compliance, Catalyst, or similar vendor risk solutions.
Communication & Ethics
- Clear written and verbal communication with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- High integrity, sound ethical judgement, and comfort handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Self-driven; able to balance independent work with cross-functional collaboration in a global, fast-paced environment.
This role is central to safeguarding inDrive’s procurement operations and building AI-enabled compliance infrastructure at global scale.
