Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Marketing Manager remit stands out in SaaS because it combines regional ownership with two core go to market motions that many B2B software companies rely on as they expand internationally: direct demand generation tied to pipeline, and partner marketing that supports a channel led sales model. With Singapore as the hub and coverage across SE Asia and Japan, the role sits at the intersection of global programs and local market execution, where localisation and distribution strategy materially affect results.
For a SaaS marketer, the career value is in learning how revenue marketing operates when measurement is explicit and stakeholder alignment is constant. The work touches the full loop from campaign adaptation to reporting on MQL quality and ROI, while also building repeatable partner toolkits and enablement assets. That mix develops transferable skills in multi market segmentation, lifecycle orchestration, and the operational discipline of running marketing as a predictable input to sales.
This role is best suited to a senior individual contributor who prefers autonomy and is comfortable being the primary marketing counterpart to sales leadership. It will appeal to someone who likes balancing experimentation with rigorous reporting, and who enjoys coordinating across global teams, agencies, and partners without relying on a large local team.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
About the Role
The Senior Marketing Manager: SE Asia & Japan is the sole marketing owner for the region. This individual will build and execute the regional marketing strategy in close partnership with the SE Asia & Japan VP of Sales, supporting both a direct go-to-market (demand generation, pipeline acceleration) and a channel go-to-market (partner recruitment support, co-marketing, enablement).
This is a builder role. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a high-autonomy, high-accountability environment, without an existing regional marketing team beneath them. They will work within a broader APAC marketing framework while having the mandate to adapt, localise, and execute independently.
Location – Hybrid, Singapore
What You’ll be Doing
Direct Go-to-Market (Demand Generation)
- Develop and execute localised demand generation campaigns across SE Asia and Japan, aligned to the regional sales pipeline targets
- Adapt global NinjaOne campaign assets for regional relevance including messaging, imagery, case studies, and local proof points
- Manage regional digital marketing activities including paid search, paid social, and email nurture in coordination with the global marketing team
- Own regional events strategy including field events, roadshows, webinars, and third-party sponsorships
- Track and report on MQL volume, pipeline contribution, and campaign ROI to the APAC Marketing Director and SE Asia Sales VP
Channel & Partner Go-to-Market
- Develop and execute a partner marketing programme for SE Asia, supporting the channel sales motion
- Build and maintain a co-marketing playbook and toolkit for channel partners, including joint campaign assets, MDF (market development fund) guidance, and co-branded collateral
- Drive partner enablement initiatives including webinars, portal content, product training materials, and certification assets relevant to the region
- Collaborate with the global channel marketing team to ensure regional programmes are consistent with NinjaOne's global partner programme
- Identify and develop high-potential channel partners in target markets for joint go-to-market activities
Brand & Regional Presence
- Represent NinjaOne's brand consistently across all regional touchpoints; events, digital, social, and partner-facing materials
- Commission or produce localised content (customer case studies, market-specific thought leadership, local language adaptations where required)
- Manage regional agency and vendor relationships as needed
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular reporting on regional marketing performance, including pipeline contribution, MQL quality, and partner activation metrics
- Operate as the primary marketing counterpart for the SE Asia & Japan VP of Sales; attending sales reviews, contributing to QBRs, and aligning marketing activity to sales priorities
- Feed regional market intelligence back to the APAC Marketing Director to inform broader strategy
About You
- 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
- Demonstrated experience operating across both direct demand generation and channel/partner marketing
- Background in IT, SaaS, or technology sectors strongly preferred; familiarity with IT management, MSP, or security markets is a strong advantage
- Experience working in or marketing to SE Asian markets; Japan market experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Proven track record of executing campaigns independently, without large team support
- Strong project management and ability to prioritise across competing demands (demand gen vs. channel, multiple sub-markets)
- Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (Pardot or equivalent) and CRM (Salesforce preferred)
- Data-literate: comfortable setting targets, tracking metrics, and reporting on ROI
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without direct authority
- Cultural fluency across SE Asian markets; English required, additional regional language a plus
- Comfortable with ambiguity and building programmes from scratch without established playbooks
- Self-directed and entrepreneurial; this is not a role for someone who needs a fully built machine to operate within
- Collaborative; works closely with sales, global marketing, and external partners
- Commercially minded; understands that marketing's purpose is to drive business outcomes, not just activity
- Curious about the markets they serve and the competitive environment NinjaOne operates in
