Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This VP, Product Marketing role stands out in the SaaS landscape because it sits at the intersection of enterprise GTM and applied AI, in a platform selling into large, regulated buyers. The remit centers on making sophisticated product capability legible to executive stakeholders and shaping how a category is framed, which is a common inflection point for SaaS companies moving from product strength to market definition.
From a SaaS career perspective, the work builds durable skills in positioning, narrative architecture, and multi-persona messaging that translate across vertical SaaS and horizontal platforms alike. Ownership of pricing and packaging, along with “land and expand” storytelling, provides exposure to the mechanics that link product strategy to revenue outcomes. Partnership with Sales and Product also reflects how senior product marketing operates in subscription businesses where adoption, expansion, and credibility compound over time.
This role is best suited to a senior operator who prefers first-principles thinking over incremental iteration and is comfortable being accountable for the core story. It will fit someone who enjoys translating technical depth into executive-ready clarity and who can lead a small, experienced function while staying close to real deals and customer conversations.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
Assured is on a mission to modernize insurance. Claims processing (i.e. should we pay this claim?), while often overlooked, is the foundation of the entire industry. It’s currently highly manual, involving phone calls, faxes, and gut instinct, costing tens of billions of dollars a year. We can do better.
At Assured, we provide large insurers with the software solutions they need to win in a modern, technology-driven world. From self-service claim-filing software to backend fraud detection, we’re the engine that powers claims processing for some of the largest insurers in the world.
The challenges we face are deep and diverse, from creating digital experiences that provide comfort and clarity to claimants at their most stressed and vulnerable to orchestrating large-scale ML-driven decision-making on billions of dollars of claims payments, life at Assured is dynamic, collaborative, and rewarding.
We are looking for a Vice President, Product Marketing to own the story and our GTM strategy. Assured is the leading Agentic Claims Orchestration platform selling to the biggest P&C carriers that own roughly 98% of the nation’s claims volume. Your job is to make our value proposition legible, credible, and unmistakable to a Chief Claims Officer and appealing to the CIO/Chief AI Officer who is contemplating “build vs. buy”. Equally, you will be tasked with building the GTM plan that compounds that advantage across new logos and deeper penetration of existing ones while collaborating with our Product organization on what our “better together” AI roadmap looks like.
This is a builder’s role. You will define our positioning from first principles, translate deep technical capability into CCO/CIO-ready language, and own the narrative across two complementary motions: Land (winning the top-of-house “Build vs. Buy with AI” argument) and Expand (growing claim-share and process penetration inside accounts we already serve). You will set the category POV that the market comes to recognize as the Assured operating model for AI claims.
You will lead a small, senior, AI-first team, and partner daily with Sales, Product, and the founders. If you want to define a category, not just market into one, this is your seat.
What You’ll Do
🎯 Own positioning and the messaging house – Define how Assured is positioned versus internal AI builds, legacy core systems and emerging entrants. Build the messaging architecture that every other artifact inherits from.
🗣️ Translate AI into CCO language – Turn model, agent, and platform capability into clear, credible, business-outcome language that a Chief Claims Officer and their team immediately understand and trust.
🛡️ Smoothen CIO/CAIO objections – Turn “we can build it ourselves with frontier models” into “we want Assured’s insurance expertise next to us for whatever we are building”.
💰 Pricing and packaging – Turn our product portfolio into a unified Platform story with a strong focus on value positioning, packaging and pricing.
🚀 GTM - Drive the Land narrative – Own the “Hero Build vs. Buy” story, the CCO-grade pitch, the CIO/CAIO persona-expansion, the analyst-grade category POV, and the field-grade objection library that wins competitive deals.
📈 GTM - Drive the Expand narrative – Own the playbook for growing claim-share within a logo and process penetration across the claim lifecycle, turning beachheads into platform deployments.
👥 Build and lead the team – Hire, develop, and direct the human and agents team; set the bar for quality and pace across the function.
🤝 Partner with Sales and Product – Become the Enablement anchor, co-pilot critical customer meetings, deconstruct decks against live deals, and feed the field with guidance that moves pipeline.
✨ Raise the bar on every artifact – Integrate our evolved positioning with Brand & Design so the visual and narrative system reinforce each other on everything that leaves the building.
What You’ll Bring
🎯 10+ years in product marketing, with senior leadership experience and a track record of defining category-level positioning and leading GTM in a technical, AI-driven domain.
🧠 Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical capability into language that lands with senior, non-technical executive buyers.
🏢 Experience selling into or marketing to enterprise buyers – insurance, fintech, or regulated industries is a strong plus.
✍️ Exceptional writing and verbal communication; you can drive complexity into clarity for any audience and hold your own in the room with a CCO.
🏗️ A builder’s mindset – comfortable writing the playbook from scratch in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
🌟 Proven people leadership: you hire well, set a high bar, and multiply the output of a small senior team.
💪 High ownership and low ego – you do the thinking and the doing.
