Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Tabs sits in a specific corner of the SaaS ecosystem where product value is measured in operational throughput: contract to cash, billing, collections, and compliance. In an AI native finance platform, the strategy and operations function matters because the core workflows span product, data, and revenue operations, and the company’s early stage footprint suggests plenty of foundational decisions are still being made.
For a SaaS career, this kind of generalist seat builds fluency in how recurring revenue businesses actually run. The work naturally touches metrics, pricing and packaging implications, go to market mechanics, and the systems that turn one off analysis into repeatable processes. The emphasis on modeling, dashboards, and cross functional initiatives maps well to future roles in BizOps, RevOps leadership, product operations, or even finance adjacent operating roles inside software companies.
This role is best suited to someone who prefers ambiguous problem spaces and can move between diagnosis and execution without waiting for perfect inputs. It will appeal to professionals who like being close to decision makers, enjoy building internal tooling and operating cadence, and want broad exposure across product and commercial functions in an in person environment.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
Tabs is the leading AI-native revenue platform for modern finance and accounting teams. Tabs agents automates the entire contract-to-cash lifecycle, including billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting, to help teams eliminate manual work and accelerate cash flow.
High-growth companies like Cursor and Statsig rely on Tabs to generate invoices directly from contracts, reconcile payments in real time, and automate ASC 606 compliance.
Founded in 2023, Tabs has raised over $91 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and Primary. The team is headquartered in New York and brings deep expertise in finance and AI.
If you’re a high-agency generalist who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, we want to meet you — even if we don’t have an open req that fits today. This is a placeholder posting for exceptional talent.
About the Role
We don’t hire Strategy & Operations talent to fill seats — we hire them to take on the problems nobody else owns. Sitting close to the founders and leadership team, you’d pick up the most pressing cross-functional problems at Tabs and drive them from diagnosis to execution.
What You’d Do
Own ambiguous, high-priority problems end-to-end — from diagnosis to execution
Build the financial models, dashboards, and analyses leadership needs to make decisions with conviction
Design and run cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations
Stand up new teams or functions when we don’t yet have a dedicated owner
Turn one-off analyses into durable systems, playbooks, and automation so the next person doesn’t start from scratch
Act as a thought partner to founders and the exec team on the questions that don’t have obvious answers
Who You Are
2–10 years of experience; open to Associate through Senior Manager based on fit
Background in an operating role at a high-growth startup, consulting, investment banking, or PE/VC
Strong analytical toolkit: you can build a clean model, cut data in SQL or a BI tool, and translate comfortably between quantitative and qualitative framing
Crisp written and verbal communication
Bias toward action: you don’t need a perfect process to start making something better
High ownership mentality — you close the loop, and things don’t fall through the cracks on your watch
Genuine curiosity about finance, AI, and how a modern AI company actually runs
Additional Information
This is a placeholder requisition for opportunistic hiring. We don’t have a specific opening mapped to this role today — but if you’re a strong fit, we’ll build a role around you. Exact title, scope, and seniority will be calibrated to your background.
This role is based in New York City, 5 days a week at our Soho office. Tabs is a high-execution, fully in-person team.
