Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Cloud Security and AI Consultant role sits at a key SaaS intersection: enterprise cloud delivery and customer experience platforms that increasingly embed AI capabilities. Genesys operates a widely adopted, cloud-based CX product, and the listing makes clear the work is oriented around real customer deployments, security reviews, and governance rather than internal-only security operations.
For a SaaS security career, the role offers sustained exposure to the kinds of problems that recur across mature subscription platforms: multi-tenant risk considerations, cloud-native architecture discussions, and communicating controls in ways that satisfy enterprise buyers. The emphasis on translating security architecture for both technical and executive stakeholders is particularly relevant in SaaS, where security posture often influences procurement cycles and long-term retention, and where advisory work needs to connect product realities with customer requirements.
This position is best suited to professionals who prefer consultative, customer-facing security work and can move between deep technical detail and boardroom-level narratives. It will likely appeal to candidates who want to build credibility in AI risk and cloud security within a SaaS vendor context, especially those comfortable partnering across Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to align security guidance with how the platform is actually built and operated.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
