Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Staff Product Manager role sits at the intersection of core SaaS platform work and the emerging category of agentic application tooling. Agent Studio is positioned as a builder-facing surface that turns complex capabilities such as retrieval, memory, orchestration, and evaluation into composable workflows, which is increasingly how modern SaaS products are being extended and differentiated.
For a product leader building a SaaS career, the mandate offers durable platform PM experience: defining abstraction layers, balancing developer and business-user needs, and setting quality bars through evaluation and governance. The emphasis on telemetry, adoption, cost, latency, and ship gates reflects the operational discipline common to mature SaaS teams, while the customer and design-partner engagement anchors decisions in real production constraints rather than prototypes.
The role best fits someone comfortable operating at staff level across strategy and execution, moving between discovery, specification, and cross-functional alignment without relying on a narrow swim lane. It will appeal to PMs who enjoy technical product surfaces, have strong written communication, and want to shape how teams build and validate AI-powered workflows inside a SaaS platform.

Job Description
The Mission
Your product mission is to make Algolia the builder-first platform for agentic applications. Agent Studio empowers developers and business users to compose retrieval, memory, workflows, tools, and evaluation in one place - then ship those workflows to production with confidence. You will equip customers with the ability to go from prototype to production quickly, reliably, and with governance built in.
The Opportunity
As a Staff Product Manager at Algolia, you will shape the vision and execution of Agent Studio, the front door to Algolia’s Agentic Platform. This role is critical in defining how Algolia becomes the default environment for building, evaluating, and scaling agent workflows. You will collaborate across engineering, design, product marketing, and GTM to deliver impactful results, multiply the impact of other PMs, and contribute directly to the company’s long-term success.
What you'll be doing:
- Drive product discovery to define the who, why, and what of Agent Studio.
- Formulate, align, and communicate the strategy, vision, and roadmap for Agent Studio across the organization.
- Define the abstraction layers (workflow blocks, memory & tool adapters, eval harnesses, guardrails) that let developers and business users build reliably.
- Mock up concepts, write functional specs, cut tickets, draft copy : whatever it takes to push the product throughout its lifecycle.
- Partner deeply with engineers, designers, and other PMs to ship delightful, powerful builder experiences.
- Shape agile processes and foster team dynamics that encourage continuous learning, rapid prototyping, and eval-driven iteration.
- Build and scale an evaluation culture (offline + online): golden sets, regressions, quality metrics, and ship gates.
- Use analytical and quantitative skills to track adoption, cost, latency, and quality managing the business by the numbers.
- Stay ahead of the competitive landscape (agent frameworks, eval platforms, orchestration tools) and identify strategic partnerships to strengthen the ecosystem.
- Engage directly with customers and design partners to validate real-world agentic workflows.
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience in building and shipping developer-first platforms, tools, or APIs.
- Demonstrated success in shipping and iterating products within an agile development environment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and support to launch and scale products.
- Strong ability to frame technical and business problems, craft strategies, and deliver simple solutions.
- Deep curiosity and user empathy for both developers and business users.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
What would make you stand out:
- Expertise in agentic workflows, retrieval (keyword, vector, hybrid), memory, or orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation, telemetry, governance, and provenance.
- Technical background with hands-on coding experience (for fun, school, or work).
- Experience in or strong understanding of eCommerce, content-heavy use cases, or media workflows.
- Proven experience in designing workflow automation or builder tools that empower teams and enhance productivity.
