Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This IT Systems Engineer role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the operational center of an edge and AI-oriented software platform, where reliability depends on both cloud services and on premises infrastructure. Litmus operates in industrial environments that generate real time machine data, so internal systems work spans SaaS administration, identity, networking, and virtualization in a context where uptime and secure access directly shape product delivery.
For a SaaS career, the scope is notably cross functional. Managing SSO and user lifecycle in Azure Entra ID, administering enterprise SaaS tools, and supporting AI services and API key governance builds a strong foundation in modern SaaS operations. The mix of VMware based infrastructure, Cloudflare configuration, and VPN management also develops transferable skills for hybrid architectures that many SaaS companies adopt as they scale security and internal enablement.
This role is best suited to professionals who like being the connective layer between engineering, security, and day to day employee support. It favors someone who can switch between structured systems work and pragmatic troubleshooting, and who is interested in how AI tooling changes internal IT expectations. Candidates who value clear ownership of provisioning, access control, and operational hygiene will find the responsibilities aligned with that working style.

Job Description
Who is Litmus
Litmus is building the data foundation that powers industrial AI.
AI doesn’t work without real-world, contextualized data - Litmus makes that data usable. As AI adoption accelerates, most industrial environments still can’t access or use their operational data. We solve that gap.
We’re a growth-stage software company helping manufacturers access, structure, and use real-time data from machines, systems, and sensors at the edge. Our platform sits at the intersection of edge computing, AI, and industrial operations, enabling some of the world’s largest companies to run operations in real time, reduce downtime, and optimize production.
Backed by leading investors and trusted by global manufacturers and partners like Google, Microsoft, Dell, Oracle, and Mitsubishi, Litmus is powering the shift toward software-defined manufacturing.
Why join Litmus
Build the infrastructure that makes industrial AI possible
AI is moving beyond the cloud and into the physical world. At Litmus, you’ll build the infrastructure that enables real-time data to power AI and machine learning systems in production environments.
Work on problems where software meets the real world
Most AI systems fail without access to real-world data. You’ll build the layer that makes them viable in production. We solve challenges at the intersection of distributed systems, real-time data, and industrial constraints — where reliability, scale, and performance are non-negotiable.
Have real impact, fast
You’ll work on systems used by real customers in production, with direct impact on product and company trajectory. As a scaling company, we move quickly. You’ll have ownership, visibility, and the ability to shape both product and company as we scale.
Join a high-performance team
We’re building a team that holds a high bar and pushes each other to improve. You’ll work alongside experienced operators, engineers, and leaders who have done this before and are building again at scale. We hire people who take ownership, move quickly, and care about outcomes. No passengers.
Our culture
At Litmus, the team is collaborative, curious, and low ego. People are scrappy, take ownership, and look for ways to make an impact. We value empathy just as much as execution, whether that’s in how we build, how we communicate, or how we support each other.
We’re a growing company, so things move quickly and not everything is perfectly defined. If you enjoy figuring things out, working closely with others, and making steady progress, you’ll do well here.
Key Responsibilities
AI-Native Services & SaaS Management: Handle the provisioning, administration, and monitoring of enterprise SaaS applications and all AI services (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, API key management for OpenAI/Anthropic/etc.).
Server & AI Infrastructure Administration: Deploy, manage, and maintain physical and virtual servers, with a strong focus on VMware ESXi environments, including configuring GPU passthrough for AI workloads.
Network & Connectivity: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot internal networks for high-bandwidth R&D needs. Manage and optimize Cloudflare configurations and VPN access for local and remote employees.
Identity & Access Management: Administer Single Sign-On (SSO) and manage secure user lifecycle operations (onboarding/offboarding) using Azure Entra ID.
IT Support: Provide timely Tier 1/Tier 2 technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues across traditional and AI-augmented workflows.
Security & Compliance: Implement and uphold foundational IT security protocols. Monitor networks for vulnerabilities and ensure internal AI data-handling policies are strictly enforced.
IT Asset Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and accurately inventoried IT closet/storage room, ensuring all hardware assets are properly labeled, tracked, and readily accessible.
Asset Lifecycle & Retirement: Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including scheduling and executing the decommissioning and disposal of end-of-life hardware in accordance with company policy and data security requirements.

Demonstrated familiarity with foundational networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls).
Hands-on experience with server hardware and virtualization technologies, specifically VMware ESXi.
Experience managing Cloudflare settings and administering enterprise VPNs.
Familiarity with provisioning and managing modern SaaS applications, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and third-party AI services/APIs.
Experience configuring and managing SSO and user identities via Azure Entra ID.
Strong problem-solving skills, a passion for AI-driven workflows, and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Local LLM / SLM Experience: Hands-on experience running, deploying, or managing local Large Language Models (LLMs) or Small Language Models (SLMs) (e.g., using Ollama, vLLM, Hugging Face on local hardware).
