Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Engineering Manager role stands out in the SaaS ecosystem because it sits where product platform strategy meets production-grade generative AI. Spotify is operating at a scale where “agentic systems” are not experiments but foundational capabilities that must work across multiple user surfaces and teams. The remit to converge disparate agent implementations into a single engine signals a platform-minded approach typical of mature SaaS organisations investing in reusable infrastructure rather than isolated features.
From a SaaS career perspective, the work builds durable experience in turning frontier ML into reliable, measurable product value. It combines architecture ownership, LLM orchestration, evaluation discipline, and cost and performance considerations that increasingly define how AI-enabled SaaS is built and operated. The cross-functional scope also develops the kind of influence skills needed to align research, engineering, and product roadmaps around shared metrics and long-term maintainability.
The role is best suited to engineering leaders who prefer high-leverage work across multiple teams and can switch between technical depth and organisational coordination. It will particularly fit those who enjoy ambiguity in emerging AI patterns, while still holding a strong bias toward shipping, standardising, and scaling systems used by large audiences.

Job Description
Spotify’s Personalization team is building the next generation of intelligent listening experiences. Across surfaces like DJ, Search, AI Playlists, and Home, we’re evolving from standalone features into a unified, agent-powered platform.
Generative AI is transforming Spotify's product capabilities and technical architecture. Agent frameworks, LLM orchestration, and agentic reasoning present huge opportunities for our products to serve more user needs and use cases, and to unlock richer, more dynamic relationships between listeners and the things they love.
This Senior Engineering Manager for Agentic Systems will focus on the architecture and evolution of Spotify agent-powered features. This role sits at the intersection of production systems engineering, LLM infrastructure, evaluation science, and applied research, and it requires someone who can operate fluidly across all of them. You will work as a senior individual contributor with significant architectural authority, partnering with a cross-functional team to define the technical strategy for how Spotify's agents are built, evaluated, and scaled, and driving the consolidation of our agent implementations onto a single engine that can power the next generation of the product.
