Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior Software Engineer role stands out because it applies modern SaaS platform thinking to manufacturing systems that behave like internal products. Building MRP and MES capabilities, plus APIs that connect software to robotic hardware, sits at an intersection where reliability, observability, and data integrity matter as much as feature delivery. The hybrid factory setting also signals a product environment where feedback loops include real operational constraints, not only user analytics.
For a SaaS career, the work maps closely to core platform engineering themes that transfer across industries: event driven services, service interfaces, and production grade uptime expectations. The stack spans React and TypeScript through Node.js and Python to PostgreSQL and Kubernetes on major cloud providers, offering practical experience in full lifecycle delivery and in evolving systems that other teams depend on. That combination is especially relevant for engineers who want to deepen platform judgment, not just ship isolated features.
The role is best suited to a senior generalist who is comfortable moving between backend and frontend work and who prefers collaborating closely with operations oriented partners. It will fit someone who values clear communication and prioritizes simplicity and correctness when software becomes part of a physical workflow.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.

Responsibilities:
Design and evolve our internal MRP/MES systems that manage BOMs, inventory, scheduling, and production workflows
Build APIs and services that interface directly with robotic systems, factory-floor tooling, and CRMs
Develop real-time and event-driven systems that ensure production visibility, traceability, and data integrity
Partner closely with manufacturing, robotics, and operations teams to translate physical workflows into robust software abstractions
Architect systems that prioritize reliability, correctness, and uptime in production-critical environments
Tech Stack:
Front-end: React, Typescript
Back-end: Node.js, Python
Database: PostgreSQL
Infrastructure: GCP, AWS
GraphQL/REST

Skills you’ll bring:
Experience: You have a strong technical background, including 5+ years of experience working in complex environments
Growth + Optimism: You are excited by new domains and challenges, and eager to pick up new context to accelerate your impact
Clarity of Communication: You excel in written and verbal communication and enjoy leveraging your skills to support your peers
Impact Driven: You relentlessly seek user impact and value execution over technical idealism
Proactive Simplicity: You prioritize simplicity, reliability, and velocity and proactively identify opportunities to improve proposed implementations or incumbent systems
Excelling in Ambitious Environments: You excel in dynamic and ambitious environments, working with a diverse group of individuals and backgrounds
