Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Solution Engineering sits at a key intersection in SaaS, translating platform capabilities into outcomes that resonate with both technical and executive stakeholders. In Snowflake’s case, the focus on an AI and data cloud positions the role within a mature, infrastructure-grade SaaS category where evaluation rigor, architecture choices, and proof points materially influence adoption. The Oslo location also signals proximity to enterprise buyers and partner ecosystems common in cloud data platforms.
For a SaaS career, this kind of role builds durable strengths in technical discovery, value articulation, and structured evaluation through demos and proofs of concept. It also develops an informed view of how product, sales, and engineering trade off roadmap feedback, competitive positioning, and customer usage patterns. Experience advising on efficient consumption is particularly transferable across subscription businesses where retention and expansion are tied to realized value.
This role tends to suit professionals who enjoy hands-on problem solving but also want to operate in customer-facing, narrative-driven work. It aligns well with candidates who can move between SQL-level detail and business context, and who are motivated by continuous learning in modern data and AI tooling. The emphasis on traits over prior title suggests openness to adjacent technical backgrounds.

Job Description
At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.
Snowflake is built on a culture of impact and innovation. We are looking for a Solution Engineer who is ready to solve complex data challenges and help enterprises realize the full potential of the AI Data Cloud.
In this role, you will partner with account teams to understand customer needs, strategize on technical evaluations, and demonstrate why Snowflake is the premier platform for the AI and data frontier.
The Role
Present & Vision-Set: Deliver Snowflake’s technology story to everyone from technical contributors to C-suite executives.
Hands-on Proof: Conduct deep-dive demos and Proofs of Concept (POCs) that translate features into tangible business value.
Healthy Consumption: Act as a trusted advisor to ensure customers are using Snowflake efficiently and effectively, driving long-term value and sustainable growth.
Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Product, and Engineering teams to drive technical wins and refine our product roadmap.
Market Mastery: Stay at the cutting edge of the industry, positioning Snowflake effectively against competitive and complementary technologies.
What We Are Looking For
Although it is a huge plus, we don’t require prior Solution Engineering experience for this level of role. Instead, we are looking for the right traits, hunger, and a specific "X Factor" that sets you apart.
The X Factor: You bring a unique technical edge. This could be hands-on AI/ML expertise (building models, LLMs, or neural networks) or significant hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar platforms.
Coach-ability: You are humble, hungry to learn, and thrive on constructive feedback. However not afraid to speak up.
Curiosity: You are a natural "student of the game" who obsessively follows the latest trends in AI, data architecture, and cloud ecosystems.
Communication: You can bridge the gap between deep technical code and high-level business strategy.
Technical Foundation: Proficiency in SQL is required. Familiarity with Python or modern data stacks (dbt, Spark, Git) is a major plus.
Why You’ll Love This
Impact: You aren't just selling software; you are architecting the AI Data Cloud, enabling organizations to mobilize data with near-unlimited scale and performance.
Growth: We provide the mentorship to turn your technical skills into a world-class Solution Engineering career.
Culture: We value big thinkers who challenge the status quo, move fast, and are "All In" on customer success.
Think you have the "X Factor" but don't tick every traditional box?
Apply anyway. We want to see what you can build.
Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
How do you want to make your impact?
