Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Quality assurance roles in SaaS become especially consequential when the product is a complex, browser-based platform rather than a simple workflow app. This position sits at the intersection of domain-heavy software and modern web delivery, where reliability depends on understanding how real customers interpret outputs, not only whether a feature “works.” The listing also signals a venture-backed, scaling environment, where release cadence and cross-functional coordination tend to shape how QA is practiced.
For a SaaS career, the standout value is exposure to end-to-end product quality in a system that blends collaboration, rendering, and document generation. Experience translating user stories into test cases, partnering with Product and Engineering, and validating fixes builds a toolkit that transfers across many SaaS categories. Familiarity with issue tracking and test management workflows also supports progression toward QA leadership, release management, or broader product quality ownership.
This role fits professionals who prefer detail-oriented work, clear written communication, and structured thinking about edge cases. It is particularly aligned with QA practitioners who bring strong industry expertise and want to apply it inside a software delivery cycle, while staying close to how customers use the product in production contexts.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
About Us
Higharc is a VC-backed startup that is changing how new homes are designed and built. Join a founding team who’ve shipped products for Autodesk, Electronic Arts, Nike, and Apple. We have raised over $175M with support from top-notch venture capital firms and more than 18 strategic investors—industry leaders in construction, building products manufacturing, and distribution.
Higharc is seeking a
QA Engineer to join our aggressively growing Engineering team.
In this role, you'll bring deep drafting and homebuilding expertise to our quality function, testing Higharc's platform with the eye of someone who knows what a production plan set should look like and why it matters.
What You'll Do
You will enhance Higharc's platform quality by collaborating closely with our Engineering and Product teams. Your goal is to ensure a seamless, bug-free experience for builders.
Expect to:
- Apply mid to expert level drafting and homebuilding domain knowledge to improve platform quality.
- Manually test new features, regression scenarios, and complex user flows in a modern web-based CAD application.
- Write, maintain, and execute test cases based on product specifications and user stories.
- Collaborate with developers and PMs to understand technical implementations and identify edge cases in new features, before they reach end users.
- Log bugs using our issue tracking system (Linear).
- Validate fixes and contribute to QA sign-off for releases.
- Work with automated test output and support identifying gaps in test coverage so our automation engineers can help fill in those gaps.
- Participate in release QA coordination.
About You
You understand how production homebuilding documentation works — not just conceptually, but from direct experience. You're organized, self-directed, and able to communicate clearly about software behavior. You hold a high bar for quality because you know what's at stake when builders are working from bad data.
You have:
- Mid to expert level drafter with strong BIM modeling/CAD experience (Example - Revit / AutoCad)
- 3+ years in experience in production homebuilding, option management and documentation of master plan sets
- Comfortable testing features involving real-time collaboration, 3D rendering, or document generation
- Excellent written communication and bug-reporting skills
- Strong ability to stay organized and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be based in Brazil
A plus if you also bring:
- Understanding of the software development and testing process
- Experience working in an agile, fast-paced software team
- Familiarity with tools for managing tests and bugs, like Linear and Qase
- Familiarity with browser developer tools at a basic level
- Basic understanding of how tests can be automated
Please note all business is conducted in English; fluent English is required.
