Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Engineer II role sits at the intersection of SaaS and security research, where product differentiation is driven by detection quality and operational reliability. CrowdStrike’s platform context, including cloud-delivered services and extremely high event volumes, makes the work representative of modern enterprise SaaS: multi-tenant systems, real-time data processing, and continuous delivery of new capabilities without disrupting customers.
For a SaaS engineering career, the value is in building judgment around production distributed systems and the tradeoffs that come with scale. Experience with streaming and stateful components, service health, and cloud provisioning translates directly to other data-intensive SaaS categories such as observability, fintech, and infrastructure tooling. The cross-functional collaboration described also mirrors how mature SaaS organizations ship complex features that blend engineering, data science, and domain expertise.
This role is best suited to engineers who prefer platform-minded work over UI-heavy development and who enjoy improving systems through instrumentation, debugging, and iterative hardening. It also fits professionals who want to deepen competency in cloud services and distributed architectures while contributing to a product area where technical decisions have clear downstream impact on customer outcomes.

CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 to fix a fundamental problem: The sophisticated attacks that were forcing the world’s leading businesses into the headlines could not be solved with existing malware-based defenses. Founder George Kurtz realized that a brand new approach was needed — one that combines the most advanced endpoint protection with expert intelligence to pinpoint the adversaries perpetrating the attacks, not just the malware. There’s much more to the story of how Falcon has redefined endpoint protection but there’s only one thing to remember about CrowdStrike: We stop breaches.
