As a Technical Recruiting Manager at Gusto, you’ll empower, lead, develop, and collaborate with a talented team of recruiters focused on building Gusto’s Engineering teams. You will be a true business partner to our Engineering Leaders, heavily impacting Gusto’s hiring strategy and ability to bring in world-class talent.

The Engineering Recruiting team is a dynamic, forward-thinking group focused on identifying top-tier talent through a blend of innovative sourcing and recruiting tools. With a commitment to agility and continuous improvement, we drive efficient, high-impact hiring processes that support growth and innovation across the Engineering organization.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Empower a team of recruiters that support all of Gusto’s Engineering hiring needs.
- Partner with senior leaders on all aspects of the recruiting process from defining hiring profiles, to aligning on goals, through implementation of new strategies to deliver targets.
- Develop and implement a strategy to attract and retain diverse talent that reflects the companies we serve.
- Innovate on top of funnel strategies to attract incredible top talent, inclusive of employer brand, agency relations, referrals etc.
- Review, select and implement innovative tools and systems to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Continue to build a great team to meet the needs of our ambitious hiring plans across multiple locations and functions, with a specific focus on achieving the hiring goals of the engineering organization.
- Empower your team to do the best at their craft, inclusive of development plans, customized training, and removing roadblocks.
Here’s what we're looking for:
- 10+ years experience, including 5+ years of people management experience.
- You have led a team of 10+ individuals and worked closely with VP+ leaders.
- Data-driven leader that is comfortable leveraging information to drive results.
- You’ve been a recruiter! You have direct experience hiring top talent.
- A passion for developing talent and solving big problems.
Our cash compensation amount for this role is $178,000 to $220,000 for San Francisco. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
