What's the opportunity?
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will have the highly impactful role of helping develop a world-class accounting organization. You will collaborate on various areas within the accounting function (month-end close, financial reporting, process improvement, etc.) and be able to work with the support of the FP&A, Tax, Workplace, IT, and Legal teams.
We are seeking a driven, open-minded, and technically strong individual who is passionate about accounting operations and driving process improvements. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of accounting principles including US GAAP, and the ability to work with various cross-functional teams.
What will I be doing?
Assist in day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
- Prepare various account reconciliations, schedules, exhibits and summaries to support the general ledger balances
- Provide insightful financial analysis and support to management, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas for improvement
- Post monthly journal entries for assigned accounts
- Collaborate with various departments, including FP&A, Workplace, and Accounts Payable teams for proper recording of transactions
- Partner with other departments to obtain necessary information to create monthly accruals and lease entries
- Optimize and automate our monthly close and reporting processes to improve efficiency
- Participate in external audits by preparing and explaining deliverables
- Perform various special projects and research technical accounting guidance as needed
What skills do I need?
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting or accounting operations
- Ability to challenge the status quo and leverage technology to build scalable processes, gain efficiencies, streamline accounting operations and improve outcomes.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of NetSuite and FloQast preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $130,000-$160,000. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
