What's the opportunity?
We are looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our Global Payroll team!
Reporting to our Global Payroll Manager, this will be the primary role managing day to day payroll processes and ensuring that all Ireland and UK Intercom employees are paid correctly and on time. As Intercom continues to grow, it’s very important that our processes are efficient and scalable to support where the company goes. This role will have an opportunity to help shape and improve these processes in a fast changing and exciting environment.
What will I be doing?
- Responsible for preparing payroll input from Workday to Cloudpay and reconciling the international monthly payrolls in Ireland and the United Kingdom 550+ employees
- Liaise with the international payroll provider Cloudpay to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payroll
- Provide excellent employee experience as the first point of contact for all United Kingdom & Ireland Intercom payroll inquiries
- Collaborate closely with the People team, Finance teams, and external payroll partners to not only process payroll, but to also identify and improve payroll workflows
- Ability to run payroll audit reports out of Workday and work closely without international payroll vendor Cloudpay on custom reporting on an as-needed basis
- Work with the Finance team on special projects or inquiries regarding payroll
- Work closely with our People Operations team to ensure accurate processing and timely submission of employee pension contributions (Irish Life and Aegon)
- Research payroll issues independently, demonstrating analytical mindset, knowledge of best practices, and an understanding of local tax and labor laws
What skills do I need?
- 5+ years of EMEA (IE and UK) payroll processing experience for small to midsize organizations
- Highly Proficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or relevant experience
- Strong systems knowledge, including the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Problem solver, you like to prioritize tasks and get scrappy to resolve last minute issues that arise
- You’re highly self-motivated, have a great work ethic, and can work both autonomously and collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
- Comfortable and energized operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities and adapt to a fluid, high-growth environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal) and extremely high-level attention to detail
- Knowledge of Workday HCM, Reporting and Absence modules
