About the team
Dialpad is seeking a FP&A Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in financial planning, forecasting and analysis. This position will partner with our post-sales teams including Customer Experience and Professional Services organizations, collaborating with senior management, operational teams, commercial teams and others to provide data-driven insights that support strategic decision making.
Dialpad’s CX FP&A Manager will play a key role in shaping the company’s growth strategy by driving financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis across post-sales functions.
The ideal candidate should have substantial experience of working with fast growing organizations and familiarity with a SaaS business model. Additionally, they will bring exceptional analytical skills, strong communications skills, and a keen attention to details.
Your role
As a FP&A Manager, you’ll partner with CX and PS leaders to provide data-driven insights, financial analyses that optimize resource allocation, and assess ROI on post-sales initiatives to support efficient budget management. By monitoring and influencing key metrics such as NRR/GRR, Gross Margin, while also building the annual budget, managing forecasts and commissions plans, and providing decision support, this role will enhance profitability, ensure optimal return on strategic investments, and fuel Dialpad’s expansion.
This position reports to our Head of FP&A and has the opportunity to be based in our San Ramon or Austin Offices.
What you’ll do
- Financial modeling, including budgeting, reporting, what-if scenarios.
- Lead annual budgeting activities for the CX and PS teams including compensation planning.
- Conduct monthly budget reviews with Senior CX Leadership.
- Partner with all levels of management to gather, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
- Present data in cohesive reports that provide clear communication.
- Conduct and prepare special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations.
- Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
- Build and maintain a post-sales capacity and revenue model to guide hiring demands and ROI.
- Assist with other projects as needed.
Skills you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 8 years of combined accounting and FP&A experience; experience supporting CX or PS organizations strongly preferred; Saas experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in working in Google Workspace, and advanced skills in Google Sheets or Excel.
- Strong modeling background, including financial analysis and monthly reporting.
- Strong data analysis skills; preferably with SQL competency.
