About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AWS Systems Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in managing AWS Cloud-based infrastructure to join our dynamic team. Our SaaS solutions for semantic search and document understanding are used by thousands of international users, making 24×7 availability, performance, and data integrity crucial to our business success. Your expertise will help us operate, standardize, and optimize our cloud infrastructure as we continue to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure components (EC2, VPC, EKS, S3, EFS, etc.) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform/OpenTofu.
Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.
Implement high availability and fault-tolerant solutions to achieve 99.99% uptime.
Ensure compliance with security best practices, industry standards, and internal policies.
Collaborate with development and product teams to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and AWS ECR.
Operate and improve automation tooling to streamline infrastructure management.
Monitor system health using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, proactively addressing performance bottlenecks.
Manage data backups and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
Your Skills & Experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Extensive experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or OpenTofu.
Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Nexus.
Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible (advantageous).
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Experience with database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch (nice to have).
Ability to create, monitor, and restore system backups without impacting production environments.
Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.
AWS certifications are a plus.
