About the Role:
The Benefit Transfer team is a growing team of Advocates that serves customers who want to transfer their Broker of Record to Gusto, we notify your insurance carriers that Gusto will be managing the company's benefits moving forward. As a core member of the Benefits Integration team, you will be responsible for working with customers and their insurance carriers to set up their health benefits in Gusto while providing a delightful customer experience. You will guide customers through each step of the integration process, from working with insurance carriers, to building the benefit plans and enrollments in our internal systems.

About the Team:
The Benefit Transfer team is dedicated to enhancing the health benefits journey for small business owners, their employees, and our insurance carrier partners through innovative technology and exceptional service. Each team member takes ownership and makes a significant impact daily. You'll join a team consisting of 7 Advocates and 1 PE. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with diverse teams across Gusto to enhance our onboarding process and product offerings.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Provide exceptional customer service by actively communicating with customers and carriers via email and phone.
- Optimize the integration process using Gusto’s internal systems and tools. This includes consolidating benefits information, establishing policies, managing enrollments, and ensuring that customers adhere to carrier compliance requirements.
- Effectively manage your time across multiple customers and a variety of tasks to ensure productivity and meet deadlines consistently.
- Collaborate across teams to collectively address issues, troubleshoot problems, and resolve customer concerns.
- Be a knowledge partner! Research, document, and educate others on updates related to internal process, external policy, and best practices.
Here’s what we're looking for:
- 2-4 years of experience (preference for health insurance/health benefits exposure)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Passion for reducing operational inefficiencies and pain points
- Self-motivated and comfortable working collaboratively and autonomously - excited about striving toward team and individual metrics
Our cash compensation range for this role is $23.50/hour to $26.44/hour in Denver. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
