Join Airtable’s Finance & Legal team as a Senior Accountant and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and scalability in our accounting operations. What you'll do
- Drive operational excellence by designing and implementing scalable corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Own key components of the monthly close, including capitalized software, leases, accruals, and allocations
- Deliver clean and accurate schedules for assigned month-end close areas, ensuring 100% on-time and accurate delivery
- Support the financial audit process and ensure no significant audit findings or control deficiencies in areas owned
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Engineering, and other teams to align accounting treatment with business initiatives
- Improve monthly close timelines and reduce post-close adjustments by implementing process efficiencies and automation opportunities
- Maintain complete and current process documentation for all assigned areas
Who you are
- 2 years of Big 4 audit experience, ideally focused on technology clients
- 1-2 years of industry experience at a software company
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and operational accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly
- High ownership mindset with collaborative energy and a positive attitude
- Experience working in a public company environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, Oracle)
- System implementation experience
