Job Title: Software Engineer
Department & Team: Genesys Cloud R&D, Developer Engagement
Reports to: Developer Evangelist Team Lead
Location: Manila, Philippines
Summary:
The Developer Engagement team is responsible for providing technical support for internal and external developers using the Genesys Cloud platform.
Day-to-day duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing support and consulting for Genesys Cloud developers through our on-line support forums and in-person consultation with internal teams and customers.
Providing code examples and documentation around building solutions with the Genesys Cloud platform.
Developing and maintaining our Genesys Cloud Developer Portal.
Designing and constructing development tools, SDKs and CLIs for our network of internal and external developers who use the Genesys Cloud platform to deliver call center and telephony solutions.
Working in the Developer Engagement involves a mix of front-end and back-end development with deployments being done to our AWS environments.
The Developer Engagement team provides development support and tools across Java, Go, Python, .NET, JavaScript, Node, and Typescript.
A successful software engineer for the Developer Engagement team at Genesys is one who is independent, organized, highly motivated to improve software and enjoys the creation of not only software, but the automation and operationalization that goes with it. Successful Engineers at Genesys will have an opportunity to become a leader, mentor and role model for peers and juniors. They show pride of ownership and strive for excellence in everything they do. Skills Required:
2-4 years experience working with the Java programming language or another Object-Oriented programming language (.NET, GO)
2-3 years experience with the JavaScript, Typescript and/or React
Experience with web architectures and technologies (HTTP, REST)
Strong analytical, diagnostic and communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to take technical ownership of a problem and drive to resolution with the appropriate sense of urgency.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members in different locations.
Additional (ideal) Skills:
Experience with cloud development and DevOps (AWS certification is preferred)
Experience with Go or Kotlin a plus.
Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python, Node, Typescript)
Experience with Contact Center and Call Dialing solutions.
Experience with Jenkins, Sumo, New Relic.
Working knowledge of network and server security issues.
Familiarity with HIPAA Security and Privacy Laws.
