About the Role
We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to contribute to cross-functional initiatives and implement infrastructure solutions as they help architect and scale Palm’s infrastructure for reliability and performance. This role is ideal for someone who has built and maintained production-grade cloud platforms before, and who thrives on enabling others to ship quickly while solving strategic technical challenges.
This role owns the systems, tooling, and infrastructure architecture that will allow the rest of the team to scale our services with speed and quality. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and ops to make Palm's platform robust, extensible, and easy to contribute to.

What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable, modular infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support multi-state expansion, partner integrations, and integration of multiple services.
- Build infrastructure others can use: define best practices and set technical standards for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Own system observability, integrity, and monitoring best practices.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure high availability and performance of services.
- Maintain alignment with long-term product goals while accelerating operational excellence efforts.
- About You
- 5+ years of professional Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps experience, with proven success designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-based infrastructure.
- Expert in building and managing high-performance, resilient systems on AWS (e.g., EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, Kafka, VPC, RDS).
- Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong background in distributed systems and implementing robust monitoring/alerting strategies for production systems.
- Bonus: experience with CI/CD pipelines, chaos engineering, or performance optimization.
