The Role
We are seeking a Head of Content Marketing to lead our content strategy and execution. This role is pivotal in shaping Lightrun’s voice and telling our story across developer, DevOps, and executive audiences. You’ll be responsible for creating high-quality content yourself while also building and managing a scalable content engine.
Responsibilities
- Own Lightrun’s content strategy across blog, social, email, community, and PR
- Produce versatile content for both developers (tutorials, community content) and executives (thought leadership, case studies, ROI narratives).
Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to align content with GTM priorities. - Repurpose content across multiple channels and formats to maximize impact.
- Define and track content performance metrics (traffic, engagement, pipeline influence).
- Build and manage a small team of content contributors, freelancers, and partners.
Requirements
- 7+ years in content marketing, with at least 3+ in developer tools, DevOps, or SaaS.
- Proven ability to write for both technical and executive audiences.
Strong portfolio of developer-focused content (blog posts, tutorials, webinars, case studies). - Experience building content campaigns that support product launches and demand gen.
- Comfortable collaborating with engineers, PMs, and execs to extract insights and turn them into compelling stories.
- Data-driven mindset: ability to measure and optimize content impact.
- Bonus: Experience managing freelancers or building a content team.
