We have a great new opportunity for someone early in their career to join our Knowledge development team based in Budapest, Hungary.
As a Software Engineer at Genesys, you will be joining a collaborative global team of like-minded people who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges.
Working in an agile team environment, our teams are full-stack, with capabilities to deliver full features across frontend, backend, eventing, and storage layers.
Genesys software engineers think through implementation details of scale, security and usability.
You will be part of a team building new features, ensuring scalability and availability of the entire platform and delivering high-quality code. We write code in Java/Python/JavaScript/TypeScript/Angular, so you will mainly get to learn and gain experience with these technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Take part in designing scalable and high-availability cloud-based systems, state of the art web apps
• Learn AWS technologies and what a Microservice architecture is
• Understand principles of continuous integration of software and follow currently established patterns
• Help execute upon our quality strategy: learn different levels of automated software testing and use them
• Exchange ideas and knowledge with other engineers about solutions to software engineering problems
• Learn and work with a top-notch tech stack, including AWS.
• Work closely with a team of talented people
• Get to know the global leader in cloud customer experience and contact center solutions
• Be part of something that has never been done: contribute to the creation of a new software category to help our partners deliver empathetic and hyper personalized customer experiences
• Learn what it means to take ownership, how an agile development team works and how to communicate transparently
Requirements:
• Deeper understanding of software engineering
• At least two years of work experience with backend programming languages (preferably Java)
• Be a fast and eager learner
• Strong analytical, critical thinking
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have:
• Previous work experience with AWS Lambda/Dynamo or other AWS services
• Knowledge of frontend software engineering and programming languages (e.g. JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular)
