As a Senior Software Development Engineer, focusing on front-end or full-stack development, you will be joining a collaborative global team of like-minded people who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges. Genesys software engineers think through implementation details of scale, security, and usability. You will be part of a team building new features in the Conversational AI department for Genesys Agent Copilot, ensuring scalability and availability of the entire platform and delivering high quality code.
Responsibilities:
Management of micro-frontends and microservices: design, development, deployment, configuration, and supporting documentation
Design, development, and testing of features/functions delivered via platform components and/or services that are secure, reliable, highly scalable, and available
Ownership of features beginning to end from design documents and reviews to acceptance testing and deployment
Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices, improve readability and anticipate issues
Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
Requirements:
5+ years expertise in front-end development and deep understanding of modern front-end frameworks and libraries like angular and react
Working experience with REST API back-end services, in either Java, Python (preferred) or node.js
Expertise in cloud technologies, cloud hosting (AWS preferred), distributed systems
Work experience with micro-services and container technologies (Docker is preferred) is an advantage
Experience with .NET backend technologies, C# language is an advantage for the role
Version control tools and processes (e.g. git and git-flow)
Continuous delivery of cloud-based software
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
