Job Title: Statutory Reporting Associate Manager
Department & Team: Finance - Controllership Team
Reports to: Senior Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven finance professional to join our Finance organization as a Statutory Reporting Manager. This role plays a critical leadership position in ensuring high-quality statutory compliance and external financial reporting across a complex portfolio of Genesys entities.
You will lead a team of professionals and external partners in delivering timely and accurate statutory financial statements, drive improvements in reporting processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to support corporate objectives and local regulatory requirements. This is a strategic role with high visibility, offering the opportunity to shape and optimize Genesys' statutory reporting framework within a dynamic, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Oversight
Oversee the statutory reporting process for multiple entities, ensuring full compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, and Genesys group policies.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of statutory reporting accountants and coordinate with shared service centers and external providers.
Act as the main point of contact for senior stakeholders in Controllership, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and external auditors.
Strategic Process Management
Own and evolve the statutory reporting operating model, ensuring robust governance and scalable processes.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, particularly around automation, process simplification, and use of statutory reporting tools (e.g., OneSource).
Manage relationships with external accounting firms and ensure a seamless onboarding of new audit or compliance partners.
Audit & Compliance
Drive the audit process, ensuring timely completion of all statutory audits with clean audit outcomes.
Ensure robust internal controls are in place for financial reporting and provide recommendations for risk mitigation and compliance enhancement.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner closely with business units and global teams to align statutory reporting outcomes with business goals.
Contribute to M&A integration, legal restructuring, or tax planning initiatives from a statutory reporting standpoint.
Reporting & Analysis
Provide clear insights into statutory results, trends, and financial health to regional and global leadership.
Support the consolidation of statutory results and present key findings to leadership when needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any Business related course.
Professional accounting certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant, CPA, ACCA, RA).
Minimum 5 years of experience in statutory accounting, audit, or external financial reporting in a multinational environment or Big 4 firm.
Deep understanding of IFRS and experience working with local GAAPs.
Strong expertise in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing complex audit processes.
Experience with Workday Financials and OneSource Statutory Reporting is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams across regions.
High proficiency in Excel; experience with data analytics or automation tools is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is advantageous.
