With that aim in mind, we are responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and usage for OpenAI’s products and platform amongst our core audiences. Our focus extends beyond just promoting product features; we aim to provide valuable insights and resources that help our users make the most out of AI technologies.
About the Role
We are hiring a Marketing Operations Lead to set the systems and governance for our core systems, tools, and processes that keep our marketing team running with clarity and speed. You’ll architect how Marketing operates end to end — designing and leading the frameworks, standards, and rhythms that allow the team to scale efficiently without losing creativity or quality.
You’ll partner across Marketing, Product, and Legal to simplify our operational stack, codify best practices, and build consistency into how we plan, communicate, and launch.
In this role you will:
Set and evolve the standards for onboarding, playbooks, and internal comms guidance across Marketing.
Establish governance for end-to-end marketing processes, ensuring clarity from intake through launch and learn.
Direct tooling strategy (Airtable, DAM, rights management, PM tools) to drive simplification and AI integration.
Shape cross-functional operating models with Product, Legal, and Comms Ops to improve speed and collaboration.
Ensure and audit compliance with company policies on data access and confidentiality.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
8–10 years in marketing or creative operations, strategy & ops, or program management.
Experience leading operational design or transformation at org-wide scale (e.g., marketing, creative, or cross-functional operations).
Proven systems thinker who designs and scales operational frameworks that improve how large marketing teams work.
Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; finds structure without over-engineering.
Skilled at influencing senior stakeholders and aligning multiple orgs around a unified operating model.
Calm, collaborative operator who brings clarity and structure to fast-moving environments.
