Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Head of Growth role stands out in SaaS because it sits at the intersection of consumer adoption and embedded distribution. Checkr Personal is positioned as a newer product line within an established SaaS company, with demand coming both from direct-to-consumer usage and from platforms that want verified profiles integrated into their experiences. That mix makes growth less about a single channel and more about building repeatable loops across product and partner surfaces.
From a SaaS career perspective, the work maps closely to the core mechanics that travel well across modern subscription and product-led businesses: experimentation discipline, funnel ownership from acquisition through retention, and rigorous unit economics thinking (CAC, LTV, retention, virality). The remit also implies close collaboration with product, design, and engineering—useful exposure for operators who want to deepen product growth fluency rather than stay purely in campaign execution.
This role is best suited to a senior, hands-on generalist who prefers breadth over specialization and is comfortable switching between analysis and creative execution. It will fit someone who values proximity to leadership, enjoys ambiguous problem spaces, and wants to shape how a growth function is built for a distinct product line inside a larger SaaS organization.

Job Description
About the team/role
Checkr is looking for a Head of Growth for our consumer product, Checkr Personal. Our vision is to build the largest network of verified individuals. Over the past year, we’ve seen exponential growth, both through direct-to-consumer adoption and growing demand from job platforms looking to embed our verified profiles to let their workers stand out.
Given the strong traction and massive market opportunity, we’re making our first growth hire dedicated to this product line. This role will be the right hand to Checkr’s Co-founder and Head of Checkr Personal. You will be instrumental in shaping and scaling our growth.
The ideal candidate is a scrappy, full-stack growth marketer with experience building and executing B2C strategies in fast-paced environments. This is a high-leverage opportunity to help scale a new product line inside a profitable, fast growing company.
What you’ll get
- High-visibility work and ownership: Direct impact on one of Checkr’s newest and fastest-growing product lines.
- A fast-paced and collaborative environment: feels like a startup, but backed by the scale, resources, and reach of Checkr.
What you’ll do
- Own the growth engine: Design, run, and evolve our growth strategy, spanning acquisition, activation, and retention.
- Move fast: Launch experiments across paid, organic, referral, and product channels; scale what works and drop what doesn’t.
- Be hands-on: Write copy, launch ads, test landing pages, tweak onboarding flows, and dig into data.
- Find leverage: Identify new channels, loops, and creative bets that unlock step-changes in user growth.
- Collaborate deeply: Partner with product, design, and engineering to make growth part of the product experience.
- Measure what matters: Track CAC, retention, LTV, and virality, but focus on learning velocity and compounding results.
Who you are
- 8+ years in growth marketing, with some experience as a founder or at an early stage, high-growth consumer startup.
- A generalist with experience across acquisition, lifecycle, and product-led growth.
- Comfortable getting scrappy: you test, learn, talk to users, and build without waiting for process or polish.
- Analytical and creative in equal measure: you can go from SQL to campaign copy and Figma mock in a single day.
- Excited by ambiguity and speed.
- Curious about AI-driven growth and automation tools.
What you’ll get
- A fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Learning and development allowance
- Competitive cash and equity compensation, and opportunity for advancement
- 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services
- Flexible PTO policy
- Monthly wellness stipend
