### Why this Role is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Revenue Systems engineering is a core function in modern SaaS, where predictable growth depends on clean data, consistent process, and tooling that scales with go-to-market complexity. A Senior Salesforce Engineer focused on Sales Cloud and CPQ sits at the intersection of productized revenue operations and platform engineering, shaping how pipeline moves from lead to quote to order. The emphasis on architecture and lifecycle ownership signals a role that influences how a SaaS business operationalizes selling, not just how it administers Salesforce.
For a SaaS career, this kind of position builds durable leverage: designing secure, maintainable automation; making build-vs-buy decisions across declarative tooling, Apex, and third-party apps; and partnering across systems to support Order-to-Cash. The remit also points to hands-on experience with instrumentation and iteration—monitoring feature performance, troubleshooting, and feeding learnings back into the roadmap—skills that transfer across B2B SaaS environments.
