Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Security has become a core product surface for mature SaaS platforms, and this Senior Product Manager role sits squarely in that shift. The remit spans internal security tooling that underpins how software is built and operated, with downstream impact on customer trust and platform resilience. The focus on network-edge capabilities—such as WAF, CDN, VPN and SASE—signals a security function that is tightly coupled to availability and performance, not just governance.
For a SaaS product career, this kind of role builds durable strengths: translating technical risk into prioritised roadmaps, working across Security Operations and Engineering, and balancing usability with control for internal users at scale. It also develops fluency in how security products are measured and managed like any other platform capability—through outcomes, adoption, and operational efficiency—skills that transfer across SaaS companies with complex infrastructure.
This position best suits a product leader who is comfortable operating in highly technical domains and influencing stakeholders across multiple portfolios. It will appeal to someone who enjoys ambiguity in platform work, can navigate trade-offs between engineering constraints and product intent, and wants to specialise in security as a strategic lever within SaaS.
