We are looking for an exceptional Solutions Architect to join our team, serving as a trusted advisor to customers throughout their Snowflake journey. From initial requirement and use case development through technical deployment, data and workload transition and enabling continuous optimisation, you will drive business outcomes, accelerate time-to-value, and ensure customers maximise their Snowflake investment The Solutions Architect will work directly with customers and with our Partner network to deploy Snowflake. This person must be a self‑starter and used to a fast‑paced, fun, energetic environment and comfortable with dealing with ambiguity. They will have the insight to make the connection between a customer’s specific business problems and Snowflake’s solution, the customer‑facing skills to communicate that connection and vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences, and the technical skills to be able to not only build demos and execute proof‐of‑concepts but also to provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation. The person we’re looking for, shares our passion about reinventing the data platform and thrives in a dynamic environment. It means keeping up to date on the ever‑evolving technologies for data and analytics in order to be an authoritative resource for Snowflake, system integrators and customers. And it means working collaboratively with a broad range of people both inside and outside the company.
We are looking for candidates who have Snowflake Platform or Modern Data Warehouse and SQL expertise, plus experience in at least one other Pillar competency area:
Snowflake Core Platform & SQL Skills (Mandatory)
Experience in deploying and managing modern data platforms and technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP and Azure data landscapes: architecture, implementation, performance optimisation, and cost modelling.
OLAP Data modeling and data architecture experience
Excellent SQL skills, including complex query tuning, schema design, and working in a multi‑cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Hands‑on experience building data warehousing, ELT/ETL pipelines and analytics solutions.
Ability to engage customer stakeholders from developers through to senior technical leadership.
Strong understanding of data security, governance, access controls, and compliance.
Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor and evangelise solutions.
Pillar 1 – Data Engineering
Proven experience designing and implementing large‑scale data pipelines.
Strong programming skills (Python, Scala, Java) and experience with orchestration frameworks.
Experience with scalable data architectures (open data formats, data lake, lakehouse and data warehouse architectures).
Define and impose data‑engineering best practices and performance optimisation.
Comfortable working in a consulting or client‑facing environment.
Pillar 2 – AI/ML
Experience architecting, building and deploying machine learning pipelines.
Familiarity with MLOps / LLMops disciplines: experiment tracking, model versioning, feature stores, model monitoring.
Understanding of generative AI/LLMs, vector databases and their integration with Snowflake.
Strong programming skills in Python, ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑Learn).
Ability to deliver proof‑of‑concepts and guide customers through AI/ML adoption.
Pillar 3 – Migration Services
Experience leading migrations from legacy data platforms to Snowflake.
Designing migration strategies (lift‑and‑shift, re‑architect, hybrid) and managing risks.
Familiarity with Snowflake migration accelerators, partner ecosystems and tooling.
Collaborate with integrators, manage dependencies, perform post‑migration optimisation.
Create migration artefacts: architecture diagrams, cut‑over plans, validation frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
~8‑10 years in technical consulting, solutions architecture, data/platform roles.
Experience in professional services or consulting delivery environments.
Excellent stakeholder communication across technical and executive levels.
SnowPro Core/Advanced certification preferred.
Willingness to work onsite with our amazing customers, travel domestically and operate in a global/virtual team.
