Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This FP&A internship stands out in a SaaS-adjacent environment where recurring revenue logic meets operational complexity. BlaBlaCar operates a digital, multi-country platform with multiple lines of business, which typically creates the kind of cross-functional data flows and reporting cadence that modern subscription and platform companies rely on to steer performance.
For a SaaS-focused finance path, the role offers early exposure to the mechanics that sit behind forecasting discipline: monthly close rhythms, variance analysis, and stakeholder-facing reporting. Working on departmental reporting (here, Community Relations) mirrors how SaaS companies increasingly expect finance to partner with non-finance teams—translating activity drivers into measurable outcomes and decision-ready narratives. The emphasis on coordinating with Accounting and supporting business partners is also a practical entry point into how finance functions scale and standardise.
This position is best suited to someone aiming to build foundational SaaS finance skills through structured processes rather than one-off projects. It will fit a candidate who enjoys working with data in spreadsheets, is comfortable with recurring timelines, and prefers collaborative work that requires clarity, follow-through, and attention to detail across teams.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
