Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
SaaS companies often rely on enterprise platforms like Workday to keep internal operations dependable as headcount, compliance needs, and cross-system complexity increase. This Sr. Workday Developer contract stands out because it sits at the intersection of HR, Finance, and IT systems—work that tends to become more consequential as software businesses mature and standardise their business applications stack.
From a SaaS career perspective, the role builds durable expertise in operating “systems of record” that underpin scaling teams: Core HCM, Payroll, and Compensation. Ownership of integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, APIs) and release management maps closely to the realities of SaaS environments where vendor updates are frequent and reliability expectations are high. The emphasis on data integrity, security models, and stakeholder translation also develops a repeatable skill set for business applications and enterprise systems paths within SaaS organisations.
This role is best suited to an experienced Workday specialist who prefers hands-on build work with clear accountability across design, testing, and deployment. It will likely appeal to professionals who enjoy diagnosing production issues, navigating governance constraints, and collaborating with non-technical partners to turn operational requirements into stable platform outcomes.
