Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Network Development Director role sits at the intersection of SaaS-style platform scale and regulated payments infrastructure. Thunes operates a global network product where value is created through coverage, reliability, and commercial terms across many counterparties, making partnership strategy a core “product lever” rather than a pure sales function. In Southeast Asia, where payment methods and regulatory expectations vary widely, network development work tends to be closely tied to market design and execution discipline.
For a SaaS career, the role offers durable experience in building distribution through ecosystems: shaping joint go-to-market motions, aligning pricing and FX economics, and translating operational performance into commercial outcomes. It also reflects a common SaaS pattern of cross-functional influence—working across commercial, operations, and internal stakeholders to improve the end-to-end experience for members of the network. Managing key accounts at both operating-company and group level adds exposure to enterprise stakeholder management that transfers across B2B SaaS categories.
This position is best suited to a senior commercial operator who prefers long-cycle partnership building over transactional deal work, and who enjoys solving ambiguous problems with data and structure. It will fit someone comfortable balancing strategic roadmapping with hands-on execution, and motivated by regional complexity in fintech-enabled SaaS environments.
