Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
ScraperAPI operates in a distinctly SaaS-native category: infrastructure software that monetises reliability, performance, and trust rather than novelty. Content in this space tends to sit close to product reality—use cases, technical constraints, and buyer evaluation—so a Content Lead role here signals a mandate to shape how a specialised B2B SaaS explains value across the funnel.
From a SaaS career perspective, the remit emphasises the parts of content leadership that translate across modern go-to-market teams: defining audience/ICP priorities, building an editorial system, and tying narrative choices to measurable outcomes. Owning the “why” behind content, while also steering execution and quality, is the kind of scope that prepares someone for broader GTM leadership in subscription businesses where messaging, activation, and retention are tightly linked.
This role will suit a content strategist who prefers clear decision frameworks over ad-hoc production, and who is comfortable working with marketing leadership while directly guiding another writer. It also fits professionals who enjoy balancing positioning work with performance review cycles, and who want their craft evaluated through the lens of demand and customer journey impact in a B2B SaaS environment.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
Job Description
This role is part of our ScraperAPI team, one of our growing brands at saas.group.
ScraperAPI is an enterprise-scale web scraping solution, trusted by businesses across a wide range of industries to extract crucial data at scale. From e-commerce, travel to real estate and market research, we support companies in turning the web into actionable insights.
We’re currently on an exciting growth journey, scaling rapidly as demand for reliable, high-performance web scraping and data keeps rising.
Profile Overview
We’re looking for a Content Lead who can bring structure, focus, and direction to how content supports our business. This role owns the “why” behind our content: what we create, who it’s for, and how it contributes to demand, positioning, and go-to-market priorities. You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing, lead our Content Manager, and help shape clear messaging as ScraperAPI moves through an important phase of growth and brand alignment.
Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:
- Clarify what role content plays in our GTM strategy including where it supports awareness, consideration, activation, and retention and how success is measured at each stage.
- Establish clear content themes, audience priorities, and editorial principles aligned to ICPs, key use cases, and product value. Bring structure to content planning and decision-making through a focused roadmap.
- Introduce performance-driven thinking to content by defining success metrics, reviewing performance regularly, and using data to inform prioritisation and iteration.
Your responsibilities
- Set and own the content strategy in line with business goals, GTM priorities, and target audiences.
- Define content themes, narratives, and messaging across the customer journey.
- Plan, prioritise, and steer content initiatives across campaigns and GTM efforts.
- Manage and mentor our Content Manager, setting clear direction and expectations.
- Review content briefs and outputs to ensure quality, consistency, and focus.
- Use performance insights to continuously refine what content we invest in.
What You bring to the table
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with content in a professional setting.
- At least 1–2 years of experience leading or owning content strategy.
- A strong analytical mindset and comfort connecting content to business outcomes.
- Hands-on content experience and the ability to balance strategy with execution.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring at least one writer or content manager.
- Clear examples of how your content work supported demand, pipeline, or GTM goals.
What’s in it for You
- Ultimate flexibility: We’re 100% remote. You can work from wherever you like, whenever you like.
- Freedom and autonomy: We’re a high-trust team, and you’ll be given lots of flexibility to solve problems in your own way — with plenty of help from the team when you need it.
- Minimum bureaucracy: We don’t like to get bogged down with meetings and red tape. We like to be efficient and keep momentum steady & sustainable.
- Small & friendly team: We help each other out, have fun, and joke around.
- Our network: We are a community of entrepreneurial SaaS professionals that regularly exchange ideas, knowledge, learning and expertise with each other internally.
- Flexible time off: We want you to recharge your batteries when needed.
