Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Senior IT Systems and Automation Engineer role sits at a point where modern SaaS companies often feel the most operational strain: keeping identity, device management, and access controls reliable while the tool stack and headcount keep changing. In a fully remote, multi-country environment, internal IT becomes part of the product engine, shaping how securely and consistently teams can adopt SaaS tools and ship work.
For a long-term SaaS career, the value here is in building repeatable systems rather than resolving one-off tickets. Ownership of onboarding and offboarding, SSO and RBAC, and workflow automation creates experience that translates across SaaS businesses, especially those standardising processes across multiple products or brands. The emphasis on scripting, APIs, webhooks, and AI-assisted support also aligns with where internal operations is heading in SaaS: measurable reductions in friction through automation and self-service.
This role suits professionals who prefer end-to-end responsibility for internal platforms and enjoy turning ambiguous operational pain into clear workflows. It will appeal to engineers who like partnering with non-IT stakeholders, balancing reliability with incremental automation, and improving systems that other teams touch every day.

Profile Overview
We’re looking for a Senior IT Systems & Automation Engineer to take ownership of our internal IT setup and help us move away from repetitive, manual work toward smart, automated systems.
This role will focus both on reliable IT operations and thoughtful automation. You’ll ensure that core IT systems run smoothly across a fully remote organization, from devices and access to onboarding and offboarding. At the same time, you’ll be continuously looking for ways to improve how these systems work behind the scenes.
Alongside day-to-day IT ownership, you’ll design workflows, scripts, and AI-assisted solutions that make our internal operations more scalable, resilient, and efficient over time.
Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:
- Take over and stabilize day-to-day IT operations (onboarding, offboarding, laptops, access).
- Automate common workflows like user provisioning, permissions, and SaaS access.
- Reduce IT support load by introducing workflow-based and AI-assisted service desk solutions.
Your responsibilities
- Own internal IT systems and operations, including laptop lifecycle management across multiple countries.
- Manage identity and access across tools and platforms (SSO, RBAC, SaaS access).
- Build and maintain automation workflows to remove repetitive IT tasks.
- Experiment with and roll out AI-assisted solutions for IT support and internal operations.
- Work closely with brand leaders and central teams on onboarding, migrations, and vendor coordination.
What You bring to the table
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in internal IT, IT operations, or service desk environments.
- A strong bias toward automation and a strong eye for finding ways to eliminate manual work.
- Basic scripting skills (any language is fine) and practical familiarity with APIs and webhooks.
- Curiosity around AI and real examples of experimenting with it in your work or side projects.
- Clear, friendly communication skills, as you’ll be working with people on a day-to-day basis.
What’s in it for You
- Ultimate flexibility: We’re 100% remote. You can work from wherever you like, whenever you like.
- Freedom and autonomy: We’re a high-trust team, and you’ll be given lots of flexibility to solve problems in your own way — with plenty of help from the team when you need it.
- Minimum bureaucracy: We don’t like to get bogged down with meetings and red tape. We like to be efficient and keep momentum steady & sustainable.
- Small & friendly team: We help each other out, have fun, and joke around.
- Our network: We are a community of entrepreneurial SaaS professionals that regularly exchange ideas, knowledge, learning and expertise with each other internally.
- Flexible time off: We want you to recharge your batteries when needed.
We don’t just simply offer you to “take a job with us” but rather to “join us on this journey” to build the world's largest platform of independent SaaS companies.
Sounds like something you’re up for? Feel free to apply even if you don’t check all these boxes. We believe in the power of diversity and fresh perspectives to spice up our team. Your application might just be the missing ingredient!
