Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Product Design Manager role stands out because it sits at the intersection of design leadership and product strategy within a B2B SaaS environment. Owning the experience for a key product area and partnering closely with Product and Engineering reflects how modern SaaS teams ship—through cross-functional pods, shared roadmaps, and iterative delivery tied to measurable user outcomes.
From a SaaS career perspective, the remit signals durable, transferable experience: shaping a design vision over time, scaling consistent UI patterns via design systems, and guiding teams through discovery-to-execution cycles. Managing designers while staying close to craft also builds the operating cadence needed in subscription products, where continuous improvement, usability, and coherence across workflows matter as much as net-new features.
This position is best suited to a design leader who enjoys developing people alongside improving product quality, and who is comfortable making decisions amid ambiguity. It will appeal to professionals who prefer collaborative problem-solving with PMs and engineers, value structured critique and feedback loops, and want to influence both the “how” of design practice and the “what” of a product area’s user experience.

What makes the Product Design department at Gong unique?
Here at Gong, we trust and empower our employees with ownership to solve complex problems, make the right decisions, and build the best products that create radical impact. We call this “Own. Solve. Impact.”

There are many amazingly talented PDs to work with, collaborate, learn from, and contribute from your own knowledge.

We follow a hybrid working model that combines working from home, on the go, or at the office. This allows us: flexibility, autonomy, positive work relationships, and effective work habits.
