Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Thunes operates in the infrastructure layer of fintech, where SaaS-adjacent platforms often scale through regulated, multi-jurisdictional expansion rather than purely product-led distribution. A Senior Legal Counsel focused on corporate and company secretarial work is therefore central to how a global network business formalises entities, governance, and strategic transactions while supporting a product that moves money across markets.
For a SaaS career, the role offers durable exposure to the operating realities that sit behind recurring-revenue platforms: entity management, cross-border compliance coordination, and the legal mechanics of partnering with other platforms and financial institutions. Experience advising on M&A, intragroup agreements, and regulatory change management translates well across SaaS companies that grow via acquisitions, internationalisation, or complex ecosystems of vendors and channel partners.
This position fits a counsel who prefers being embedded with stakeholders and shaping decisions early, rather than acting as a downstream reviewer. It will suit someone comfortable balancing pragmatic commercial guidance with governance discipline, and who values breadth—corporate, CoSec, and transaction support—over a narrow specialism.
The section above is editorial commentary from The SaaS Jobs, provided to help SaaS professionals understand the role in a broader industry context.
