Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
Snowflake’s Program Manager, User Groups role sits in a core SaaS lever: turning a technical customer base into a repeatable community program that supports adoption and education at scale. In cloud data platforms, user groups often function as a distributed extension of product learning and developer relations, making the operational design behind chapters, tooling, and regional coordination strategically relevant.
From a SaaS career standpoint, this position builds durable experience in community operations as a system: defining expansion criteria from community data, standardising enablement assets, and managing a multi-tool stack that connects engagement signals to workflows. That blend of program management, analytics, and cross-functional alignment maps well to other SaaS functions that depend on lifecycle engagement—developer marketing, customer advocacy, or product-led growth programs—where repeatability and measurement matter.
The strongest fit is for professionals who enjoy building frameworks that allow others to execute autonomously, rather than running every event directly. It also suits someone comfortable working across regions and stakeholder groups, balancing governance with empowerment, and making pragmatic decisions about what should be standardised versus left local in a global SaaS community model.

Job Description
Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.
Snowflake is looking for a Program Manager, User Groups to serve as the global lead for our community-led chapters. This role is at the intersection of community building, developer relations, and regional expansion. You will be responsible for empowering our technical users in the community to lead local chapters while ensuring the program scales efficiently across the globe.
Your mission is to move the User Group program from a series of local events into a unified global engine that drives product adoption, technical education, and brand advocacy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Global Strategic Planning: Define the roadmap for global expansion by analyzing community data to identify high-growth regions where new chapters are warranted.
Regional Alignment: Work closely with regional teams to ensure user group activities are supported on the ground.
Scalable Infrastructure: Own the administration and optimization of the community tech stack (Bevy, Meetup.com, CommonRoom, swag store, etc). You will be responsible for the connective tissue that allows hundreds of chapters to run autonomously.
Community Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of chapter leaders—from vetting new chapter requests to conducting kickoff calls and onboarding.
Leader Enablement: Maintain a library of scalable resources, including meeting detail templates, social promotion request workflows, and partner participation guidelines.
Partner Management: Act as the gatekeeper for partner involvement, ensuring all partner-led content remains technical and educational rather than promotional.
IDEAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience: 5+ years in Program Management, Community, Events, or Field Marketing, specifically managing distributed or global networks.
Operations Savvy: High proficiency with community platforms (Bevy, Meetup Pro) and the ability to integrate community data into automation workflows.
Strategic Recruiting: Proven ability to identify, recruit, and nurture high-caliber technical leaders and customer advocates.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Strong ability to establish cross-functional teams that work cohesively to support the user community.
Communication: A white-glove communicator capable of managing customer relationships and drafting global program communications.
Analytical Depth: Experience using data to track and measure the health of chapters.
