Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This Sales Engineer role stands out in the SaaS ecosystem because it sits at the intersection of revenue and product outcomes, spanning the full technical journey from discovery through adoption. The focus on MSP/MSSP partners signals a channel-led go-to-market motion that is common in security SaaS, where repeatability and partner enablement often determine scale. The listing also points to an AI-forward approach to standardising pre- and post-sales work, reflecting how modern SaaS teams are operationalising technical selling.
For a SaaS career, the scope offers durable experience in building Proof of Value motions, translating workflows into measurable success criteria, and shortening time-to-first-value—skills that transfer across categories and company sizes. Owning demo environments, integrations, and objection handling builds the technical narrative discipline that strong SaaS sales engineering relies on. The post-sales ownership element adds exposure to adoption mechanics and field-to-product feedback loops, a core capability in subscription businesses.
This role fits professionals who enjoy structured problem definition, hands-on technical execution, and creating reusable assets rather than one-off heroics. It will suit someone comfortable collaborating across sales, onboarding, and product-facing conversations, and who is motivated by turning partner needs into scalable methods and tooling.

Description
As a Sales Engineer at Cynomi, you will own the full technical journey of our US MSP/MSSP partners, from Discovery through Proof of Value, Close, Onboarding, and Adoption.
You will drive decision clarity, design and execute high-impact Proof of Value processes, and help partners reach time-to-first-value quickly. Who We Are
Cynomi is a fast-growing, Silicon Valley VC-backed cybersecurity startup. Experiencing massive growth over the past year, our SaaS product is used by hundreds of service providers worldwide.
Operating across three continents, Cynomi is leading the vCISO (virtual Chief Information Security Officer) market category with rapidly growing demand for its AI-powered vCISO platform, which empowers service providers (MSPs and MSSPs) to provide high quality cybersecurity services to their customers.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales
- Run structured discovery that connects customer workflows and pain points to clear business outcomes
- Design and execute Proof of Value (POV) engagements with defined success criteria and POV plans
- Develop and refine methodologies to establish value in the most effective and repeatable way
- Deliver use-case-driven demos (not feature tours) that support decision-making
- Handle technical objections and clearly articulate competitive differentiation
- Own and maintain demo environments to support the value proposition narrative
Post-Sales
- Lead onboarding and technical adoption for an assigned cohort of partners
- Run hands-on workshops, participate in partner events, and enable technical teams
- Operationalize repeatable partner workflows using Cynomi
- Build reusable partner assets such as playbooks, checklists, and templated environments
- Capture high-signal product feedback from the field and communicate it effectively to internal teams
AI-Forward (Core Expectation)
- Use AI tools to accelerate discovery synthesis, POV planning, demo personalization, and enablement assets
- Build reusable AI workflows and prompt packs that scale Sales Engineering work and partner enablement
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering / Solutions Consulting in a SaaS environment (security-adjacent preferred)
- Proven experience working with MSPs and channel partners
- Strong discovery skills, executive-level communication, and demo craftsmanship
- Experience facilitating workshops that drive real outcomes (not just training)
- Technical depth in integrations, SSO, and data flows
- Practical experience using AI and automation to produce real, repeatable work output
