Why This Job is Featured on The SaaS Jobs
This VP Sales remit sits squarely in the enterprise SaaS arena, where multi-stakeholder buying committees, long sales cycles, and platform-level differentiation shape how revenue is won. Genesys Cloud is positioned as a CCaaS/experience orchestration product with AI elements, which typically means selling into customer experience, IT, and operations leaders while navigating integration, security, and change-management considerations common to large accounts.
From a SaaS career standpoint, the role builds durable operating leverage: designing regional enterprise strategy, translating market signals into coverage and pipeline priorities, and using forecasting and KPI discipline to steer outcomes. Because the scope includes process optimization and cross-functional alignment, it also reinforces the mechanics of scaling repeatable enterprise motions—skills that transfer across mature SaaS categories where predictability, retention impact, and land-and-expand potential are tightly linked to sales execution quality.
This position best suits a senior sales leader who prefers owning a defined territory outcome end-to-end and is comfortable being accountable for both team performance and operating cadence. It will resonate with professionals who enjoy combining customer-facing executive engagement with internal systems thinking—building structure, coaching leaders, and making data-led adjustments as conditions shift across a large regional market.
